  1. Havent posted in a bit. Looks like everyone is doing great. I got the ok to go back on solid foods today, so that is a great step forward. I seem to have stabilized my weight loss---6-7 lb's since my last post, but I expected it to level off. I go back to work on Monday. Looking forward to being back to a regular daily routine. Happy New Year Everyone....and Congrats on the great results so far. Lorraine
  2. Congrats on your 15 lbs.. To reiterate what others have said. Look for the positive..15 lbs,WOW!!!! that is great..  Please dont judge your weight loss by what others post or dont post. We all come in at different starting weights and metabolisms.. so any loss is GREAT, whether large or small. Everyone is thier own worse critic and in many ways I think it causes us to not forgive ourselves when we make a mistake. Hence probably why we got where we are. The goal is, get past the mistake and do better the next week. I am sure you will continue to lose the weight as you go thru the journey. Lorraine

    Drinking while eating???

Hi I was told to stop drinking fluids 45 min before and after each meal. Nutritionist and Surgeon say that you need that time to have your body absorb the Proteins in your meals. Plus, you dont want to fill up on Water and be hungry later on. It is tough to do. I dont drink enough liquids, but am increasing my intake every day (stopped my diet cokes finally). I never realized that I always drink water with my Breakfast and lunch until I tried to stop..

    October 2010 Bandsters!!

Hi, I need to lose 6 more lbs, then I can get scheduled. Hopefully by mid Oct I will be ready. Itching to get going. My nutritionist told me about a local store that sells the protein powder, etc. Stopped in there today, have lots go good stuff. Variety of flavors, etc. They have a website too: wwww.nashuanutrition.com They have online purchasing and will ship out thier products. I got samples to try, so when I go on the liquids I will know what I like and dont like. The manager was telling me that many of thier customers find that their taste buds change after surgery.
