Thanks Tiffy:001_tt1: -
What is the highest amount of weight you have heard of someone losing with the sleeve?
-
SO happy you handled surgery well. Just remember every day from now until your fully recovered will get better. Just do what you can to get the fluids in, rest, sip sip sip, and walk. Looking forward to seeing you online and recovering even more soon.

Kalew, you have much less to lose then me. I hear that has alot to do with how fast you lose. I think you are doing amazing! -
Has anyone gotten the ?Super Sleevectomy? (TGVP) with Dr. Jose Rodriguez?
Lillie24 replied to mellifrits's topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
I had my post op appointment today and my doctor reminded me that I had a 34 size bougie. He also knows from other doctors in the field that anything smaller then a 32 causes increased issues like heartburn, acid reflux, stomach twisting, and more probably for leaks. I would be cautious of anything with "SUPER" in the title. -
I think it will really depend on how you recover. I personally didn't have the energy to be up and moving for more then 15 to 20 minutes at a time. But other people recover sooner and can do alot more. maybe having a protein shake before leaving the house will help your energy level for the play.

Question about post-op dating-for the men and single ladies
Lillie24 replied to educationrulz's topic in Singles Forum
LOL we can hope -
Well heck.... I'm happy for you. LOL. I can't speak from experience because I am only 10 days post op, single, and currently not dating. But I have heard that depending on the medications you might be on and how long you stay hydrated it might correct itstelf.

Being single myself, I am also interested in the answers to this thread. -
I'm scared to tell anyone I'm doing this
Lillie24 replied to cactusmom's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My experience is that you shouldn't tell EVERYONE. But you will need key members of your family and friends to understand what you are going through. Being 10 days post op myself and the emotional aspect of the surgery taking place, I don't know what I would do if I didn't have the close people in my life that knew what I just went through and why. It may mean you have defind yourself to your brother or loved ones, explaining why you feel you need the surgery. People tend to act like it is something you don't need because they are thinkin that is what you need to hear. Others really do think it can be controled with eating and exercise. I had the surgery because I couldnt do it alone. I hope this has helped at least a little. -

First try of FULL liquids
Lillie24 replied to Lillie24's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I heated the can of potatoe soup... lol... No seriously I heated it up but I cooked it on low for about 20 minutes to make sure that the pieces of potatoe were soft, then I ate those pieces slow while eating the soup. -
I think I would freak out if I was you. And I would also be on the phone first thing Tuesday morning.

Sports / leisure BRA ?
Lillie24 replied to Lillie24's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks Guys, I know she is trying to help. The one's she got are front closured so they are easy enough to put on and take off. I am not sure what will happen with my breasts. Wearing them while I sleep isn't really an issue because well I am single lol, and they are comfortable enough. I just wasn't sure if people have heard that this might help or might not. Thanks -
Hey guys, Wanted to get everyone's take on this. My mother decided to help me and she ordered me a few sports/leisure bras in different sizes. Her line of thinking is that since I am 6 days post op and will be losing weight fast it would help my breast during this phase if I slept in these bras. Opinions?

I have heard that the hip hop abs are really good. I will be looking into that myself as soon as the doctor oks me to get back to exercising. I have a membership but I need something to keep me busy when I am not at the gym.

WATER consuming enough - hard for me
Lillie24 replied to trish4's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have to agree, some days I can do Crystal lite mixes with my water but I do try the ocean spray and it gives move of a fruit drink or juice feel and it's easier to drink. I tend to be able to drink more if it's ice cold. Including popcicles. But I also live in Florida so that might explain that lol. Try different mixes and try different amounts of that mix with the water. I hope it helps. Good luck -
