Need2lose2 I hope you are feeling better..love who you are and just strive to do the best you can for yourself..I pray you find the eating habit that works for you..its not easy but I was told it would not be easy..now my goal is to start exercising, I'm going to try nifty after fifty, wish me luck. Ready To Give Up

OK, what is PB mean? just to set the record strainght...I am not a "rigid" protiein first person..I slip alot.. I think when I do my best is when I finally let go of what I was suppossed to do and listened to my body. If I want a piece of pie , I have a small piece..If I want a hamburger patty with bar b que sauce then I just have a patty and eat half when I feel like it. My husband has been great and has adapted to my way of eating.. I fix a "whole" meal in the evening and only eat what I really want and in small portions otherwise I am running to the bathroom after a few bites.. I keep thinking I need another fill and then I have a day when I cannot eat without getting sick and I realize I am not eating properly..usually too much yogurt, mashed pot, softer foods..I have to chew my proteins very, very well before I swollow or as you all know, it can get pretty painful. When I go out to eat, I eat an appetizer and maybe soup (Ii have them deliver it with everyone else's dinner) OR 1/2 of an entree..no way could I fit more than that in my stomach. I think that is normal, isn't it. Hopefully Need2lose2 these comments will help you..I know reading everyone else's helps me since I haven't been able to talk to anyone else who has had this surgery..thanks all...Cindy

    Ready To Give Up

I just finally opened up this email and found this forum..great infor I got from all of you. I had my lap band surgery 18 mo ago. Lost 50 lbs the first year, not too hard..then for about 4 mo stayed the same no matter what I did.. I lost 10 lbs the last 2 mo and keep staying in the same 5 lbs. CAn't seem to get below it. Reading all your info makes me realize that I used to ALWAYS CARRY protein bars with me and nibble on them. Also focused on the protein first at meals and if I had room would eat veggies and carbs.. Thanks for the reminders, hopefully this will help me get through my litle slump. And need2lose2 I will keep you in my positive thoughts that you get your mind, body and soul working with you too.

  6. Your brave, I,ve been wanting pizza all day but am only 4 days post op, i think I,ll wait a couple weeks
  7. :drool:Well, yesterday I was wondering what in the heck I did...but today I feel much better. I had my surgery Sept. 14 so its only been 4 days. I guess I really didn't think the surgery would be so intrusive being just a lap band but it is a surgery! I think alot of it is that I am taking in only about 20-30 gm protein and I am tired. But sleeping most of the last couple days has helped alot and today I even got outside for awhile. I,m looking forward to only feeling better now.
