I wanted to see if anyone has had a problem with the tube breaking or tearing. I had my lap band in 2007 and have done really well. I have lost 86 lbs so far. In 2008 I was in Lubbock and the wind caught the car door and slammed into my stomach with a great force. I knew immediately that there was a problem then and I understood why it broke. Now as of January 2012 I could tell the band was not working again. I went in February and had a fill because it had been a long time since I had one. I could still tell the band was not working. After going to the Doctor last week I found that I have another tear. This time there is no reason as I am an accountant I am not doing any strenuous work to make it tear. The Doctor said that it only happens 1% of the time. I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem and if anyone knows who the manufacturer of the tubing usually is for the lap band.
