It only took me 4-5 days to hear from my insurance. I have BCBS in IL and my paper work was submitted on a Monday and Friday afternoon, I called BCBS and they told me they just approved it I would call if I were you!

I have a sit down job....my surgery was on a monday and I went back to work the next tuesday. Probably could have even went back to work on thursday but it was xmas eve

I get hungry before 4 hours. I eat small meals but I am not satisfied and my hunger comes back before 4-5 hours. I do not have any stuck episodes or sliming either. I hope to find my sweet spot and restriction soon

I was banded a month ago. Dec 20th Im still able to eat as much as I was before. Wondering if I will feel tightness soon? I havn't had any sliming or stuck episodes (knock on wood)

woooho! Amber! I was banded on the 20th too! I go for my first fill tomorrow! Im so nervous, I hate needles but I cant wait to start losing more weight and feel that restriction! my fills are covered too

It's been a month since my surgery. I can't believe its only been a month! and I want to eat everything I see. I lost 12 pounds pre-op and since surgery only 5 pounds! So only about 17-19 pounds up and down on a good day! I can't believe that's all. Clothes still fit the same and I just want to start losing! I go for my first fill this saturday! so im hoping I will feel some restriction and the pounds will come off!

Beck, I am drinking alot of wAter. I Have always been a water drinker! Ughh so annoying lol my doc said it's normal some patients are like me and some aren't. By the end of the day my black pants are white!!!! It's sick my body is lacking something but idk

YAY! congrats to you too! Didn't it go by so fast? I can't believe its only been a month and *knock on wood*, I have had noooo complications! except my skin being so dry! I look like a reptile! its awful.

I have BCBS of IL and I only had to pay my deductible which was $4,000 because my surgeon is out of network. If I picked a surgeon in network then my deductible would have been only $1,000! But I didnt want to take any chances

Was wondering if frozen dinners like smart ones, lean cuisines would be good to eat? Does anyone rely on those for lunch or dinner? Portion would be perfect since they are small.

OMG! I AM ADDICTED TOO! I go on it at work, on my ipod, on my cell phone...while im on the train, at school, at work, in the passenger seat of a car (make my bf to drive on purpose) laying in bed before i go to sleep. Seriously it's any second of the day that I have a chance. emptyNest - I thought I was going to stop after I was banded but nope! now I just go under the post-op section lol its bad but very good when I have questions, confused, food ideas and etc. Im sure you know

I heard that pretty much everyone gets a hernia repair while surgery! You will also have left shoulder pain which is from the hernia repair.

So I wad banded on the 20th and my belly button looks weird! Is it going to be noticeable when the swelling and scars go away? Also I still can't Put my belly ring back in. It looks like the hole is closed? I don't know If I'm still swollen tho?

I did it!!!! my boyfriend thinks im crazy because I wouldnt give up! I kept wiggling it and then finally it came out from the bottom....yup the bottom hole was closed. I think it took like 20 minutes lol but phew its in there because I really didnt want to go back and get it re-done and then another scar around the belly button! but my incision is looking pretty good now and plus the ring is covering it alil But hopefully in the end it will all go away! I cant wait to start putting mederma on it so hopefully i wont have a scar. Do you have a scar?

Wow I cant believe a grandparent would say that. People can be so evil, even family! So sad, but now you will be losing weight and she will still be miserable and jealous I can't believe she would say that. It hurts, I know because in the past I have had my aunt say some nasty things to me but now she is happy for me and can't wait to show her my body in a couple of months! Think positive!

Thanks everyone! That's what I was thinking, maybe 1-2 times a week for lunch. Yes, they do have a lot of sodium. But I go in for my 1st fill Jan 22 so I will ask then! So excited to start loosing weight. I have been up and down since surgery Dec 20th and I know I shouldnt be worried about losing right now just healing but I am anxious lol

I look like a reptile! I drink plenty of water and my whole body is so flipping dry! Especially my legs and stomach what can I do?

I thought the same about my belly button! But don't worry it will go back to normal. I was so mad about it cuz this procedure Is the single incision one and then when I saw my belly button I cried. I had it done dec 20th and it's not even been a month and it's going away. I think the dry blood is what made it look bad!

Funny that I just tried doing that last night and it wouldn't poke through... Inserting front the top to bottom it goes half way through and then stops, seems like bottom is closed ugh annoyed! Thanks for the reply:)

I just got banded dec 20th and I am getting pain in my left shoulder sometimes while eating and after eating. Sometimes I will get pain under my left rib cage. Is this a signal telling me to stop eating? Well I do! Am I always going to get this signal? Also I have no restriction so that's y I'm wondering y am I getting this pain?

Omg I never burped before I had surgery! Now while I eat I burp, hiccup or my stomach/ throat gurgles! It's weird what does that mean?

I can't describe the feeling but my port site is feeling weird! It's kind of hurts I still hAve the steri striPs on and I was banded on the 20th my stomach looks alil swollen and it's hard . Also I get this stinging feeling and I just want to scratch. Did I irritate it and hurt the band?
