I just got banded on the 4th. The procedure itself was a piece of cake, The past two days have not been that bad either. I have had some pain but nothing too bad. Just sip your liquids and try to walk and be active. So far so good.

Thanks all for the great feedback and words of encouragement. I am really looking forward to losing the weight.

Yesterday was my banding. Got to the hospital at 6am to prep and all that. Surgery went well. It took awhile for the anesthesia to completely ware off, so I didn't get out of there until after 2pm. The rest of the day at home was pretty much spent sleeping. I got nauseous once after using my spirometer. Today has been a lot better. I have been really sore in the midsection but haven't had any nausea. I look forward to sharing the rest of my journey with everyone here as well as learning a lot from you all, on living with the band. Feel free to message and befriend me.

I have my date for this friday the 4th. I think I am more anxious than excited. I am dreading the recovery time, the soreness, but I am excited at the prospect of loosing the weight and getting my life back. Best of luck with your surgery. Let us all know how it goes.

So, I have my surgery set for this Friday the 4th. I am excited. I am also dreading it a little. More than anything, I am anxious for the recovery and the weight to start coming off.

I get banded on the 4th of March, just 5 days away. Getting nervous and very anxious about it. I can't say I am looking forward to the procedure or recovery, but I am excited to stsart loosing weight again and maybe one day look close to how I did when I was in the military. I doubt I will be back to 5% body fat, ever, but at least a healthy no obese weight and look would be nice.,
