I am so sorry you are feeling that way Since you are still not feeling better I would go the hospital. I would be to scared. BUG the dr. that is why he make the big bucks. Good luck -
I was told not to drink from a straw as well, i think it has something to do with the air that comes through the straw. It can cause Gas,, and for me gas was terrible in the beginning,. I am 2 weeks out and just starting to feel relief from gas. Dont be so hard on yourself, just pick back up and start over. This is very hard but I keep reminding myself this will past. Keep your head up!

Hello Lb Family, I am 2 days in the soft/mushy stage and having a hard time eating. This morning I could only eat 1/2 of the 1/2 of cup of oatmeal I had for Breakfast. I want to drink more than eat. What do I do? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what foods I can eat in the mushy food stage.

I was banded on the 15th and have gas like crazy!> I am so uncomfortable, I cant sleep.. The pain is in my left shoulder and in my neck. Lawd! I keep telling myself this will past -
I had the procedure done on Dec 15th. I have so much gas its unbelievable. I think that I am lactose intolerant so I had to switch my protein shakes. But I am not sleeping well because of the gas. My left shoulder hurts and I cant sleep on my left side. But in time this too shall pass. I have lost 10 pounds since the 15th and hopefully I will continue. So I will tolerate the gas..

I have to stay overnight as well. I am actually grateful that I have to stay, I will feel much better being monitered at night. I will miss my daughter but I am actually a little more comfortable knowing I will have nurses watching over me.. -
Did anyone not loose weight on the pre-opt diet? I am getting banded on the 15th and I have not lost one pound. I am following the pre-opt diet but doing something wrong. Dont know what. I hope I will be able to have the procedure done...

I wish I didnt have to do one, it has been one of the hardest things I had to do in my life. and the sad thing is I havent lost one pound on this diet. So discouraging and I get banded on the 15th -
I am glad I am not the only one. I am starving and I am on day 7. Good luck to you! We can do it, just think it is just temporary!..

Absolutely noting is wrong with you!. I think those emotions are normal. I have the same feelings and I have my procedure done on the 15th. I also feel that by me being on this pre-opt diet, my emotions are all of the place. So just hang in there, you will be fine.. -

I am only 2 days in the pre-op diet and I am about to loose my mind. I need some food to eat. I am able to drink 2 shakes and a meal with lean meat and vegetables, but I am in need of a snack. something crunchy-(like pork skins) Did anyone cheat on the pre-op diet and how did you survive?

You are doing excellent!. I hope and pray that I have the same results as you. 27 pounds in 2.5 months that is awesome! I could not do that with out the band.. Keep up the good work:blink:

OMG! I am so sorry you had to go through this. NO one should have to go through that kind of neglect, especially in a HOSPITAL. This is something that should be definetly be reported. I hope you are feeling better! My prayers are with you!
