Hi everyone my name is Felicia,I was 264lbs my first visit to true results.Iam now 238lbs.I have been overweight for so long,however not to the point I wanted to have surgery.I have tried diet pills,cabbage soup,point system and every diet in a book....I lost 45lbs on atkins in 2002 and it felt great,I went from a size 18 to a 12 in 3-4 months with an hour workout evey day.Then I got pregnant and got bigger and bigger..I have a very good support system at work in a hospital setting, and a wonderful husband who tries to keep me on track.I remember the month August 2009 the day I was diagnosed with hypertension ,and was told I would be a diabetic In a year .If I do"nt get out of the morbid obese range. I said to my family I was going to consider lapband surgery..Everyone was for me taking this big step.I assured everyone I would do my research.I talk to friends who had lap-band and gastric bypass.Since I have a medical back groung in critical care I've seen the good and bad in both procedures.I thought to myself lap-band is reversible.My first visit to true results was January and my last visit was May ,however aetna reqire a 4 month program and I lost no weight.I was hopeing to have surgery at the end of May begining of June.I was set back when my life came crumbling down the day my mom passed away April 15,2010.I continued my journey to sucess and was determined not to stop,I had came to far and My mother was really excited about me having this procedure ,so I went for my last appointment through true results.I was told at the end of May I was approved and was told to get intouch withFort Worth Lap Band for my surgery date,Which was July 12 at 10:00am.My mother-in- law came down to help out with my two boys,and my recovery. My post op diet wasnt to bad I was allowed two protein shakes and a soup of any kind.I lost a total of about 12lbs.During my first week of surgery I had to get fluid removed from my band due to shortness of breathe and just feeling horrible.I was told my first fill in August 06,2010 . I would recieve what was taken out plus more.My total weight lost at that point was 19lbs total.I started walkind and exercising 4 days a week for 30 mins.I feel like Iam losing inches over lbs.My clothes are much loser than before my face has slim down.My second fill was Sept,6,2010 I was at 238 a total of 7lbs lost and my third fill will be Sept.28th.Iwill update my status as I get fills..thank you
