My name is Krystal and I am going in for my consultaion appointment 9/15/2010. I am 27 years old and weigh 348 pounds. I am so disappointed in myself for letting it get this bad. I have insulin resistance,infertility, hypothyroidism, sleep apnia and high blood pressure. A friend of mine had the lap band done and I decided to check into it. I thought about it a few years ago and wasnt ready then. I am nervous but I know it is the right thing for me at this point in my life. I am just nervous. I have never had surgery and never even been in the hospital, except when I was born. LOL. I know I have my family behind me but I still feel completely alone in this. My husband says he supports me but I feel like I am in this by myself. I am the only one in my family that is over weight and it is hard. I decided to join this group because I think I need the extra support from others that know what I am going through and can actually help me through this important chapter in my life.
