  5. Yes, spaghetti squash is long and yellow. As mattie said, you bake it. The inside becomes stringy like spaghetti and is delish! i toss it with chicken, turkey pepperoni or ground turkey, and add sauce and ricotta. MMMMMM!!!!!!
  6. YUM!! I am giving this a try for sure!! Good idea with the LC cheese sauce!! I also forget about the sgaghetti squash! I usually like it with a little garlic and butter!! Must remember to get this agian!

  8. I posted this in the recipes forum, but thought I would share it here. It is so easy to make! 1 can chick peas 1 C fat free feta cheese 1 small onion, chopped 1 T dill 1/4 C lemon juice 2 cloves crushed garlic 1/4 C olive oil Combine all ingredients together. You can also add grape tomoatoes or and/or black olives if you would like. FYI....I have also used couscous instead of the chick peas too.

  10. I hear ya Jackie, loud and clear!! I have many days like this, including PMS days! I try to make good choices, but sometimes, it just gets the best of me. If I want something, I just take a little bit for satisfaction. Otherwise, I will keep eating around trying to eat it, and they I end up eating it anyway. Does that make sense? Your 5 chips will not break you. Keep up the great work girl! Just keep remembering,..50 lbs!!

  12. John, I'm so glad to hear from you! I've been thinking of you. You were the pioneer of our group to have the surgery and was wondering how you have been doing!! I am so glad to hear about your victory!! I am also so jealous of your loss too!! 80 lbs. is amazing! I hope I can celebrate that victory soon!! Anyway, glad to see you here, and keep us posted on how you are doing!! Ok, let me just tell you that the 1 1/2 cc's she added yesterday has not made a dent in curbing my hunger!! I am so peeved!! I have to wait another 6 weeks to get the next fill. What is worse is that I will still be struggling like I have been the past 4 weeks. However, I am losing weight, but I must be soing something right!! Hope everyone has a great night!
  13. Went for my fill today. I lost 8 lbs since my visit 4 weeks ago, and the PA was pleased. She only put in 1 1/2 cc's today. She said based on the number of hours that I was full (2-3 hours) determined how much she would put in. I'm hoping this will be enough! I'm on liquids until tomorrow, then 2 days of mushies, until I can do solids again. I don't go back until 3/8. That is about 6 weeks!! I hope this long stretch will be okay for me!

  15. I also feel hunger after 2.5 hours. I usually take a protein shake, yogurt, cottage cheese and fruit or cheese stick if I get hungry. I only have 2 cc's right now. I go for another fill on tues, so I am hoping to see a difference.
  16. Ape and G Rose, I am going to ask about more than 2 cc's in the fill. I have 2 cc's now, and it is just not cutting it! I think I amy have lost 5 lbs since my last visit, and I am so bummed!!
  17. Great news G Rose! So proud of you! Did the PA do another 2 cc's for the fill? Do you think they would do more than 2 cc's? I go next week, and I barely feel the 2 cc's now. I would like to be abel to feel sometihng on the next fill!! This past month has bee so hard for me and I am just hungry all the time. Not head hungry, but really stomach hungry! I am eating the same as I did before I got the first fill, and am more hungry now. Weird, huh??
  18. Hey Sandy, welcome!! I was banded on the same day as you! I can't believe it will be 2 months tomorrow! It flew by so fast!! But the struggles continue!! I ahve only had 1 fill and have 2 cc's. It has done nothing for me! I go in for my next fill next week, so I hope I feel restiriction after this one. The holidays got me so twisted, and I am finally back on track! Glad to have you aboard!!

  21. G Rose, I've been wondering how you have been. How are you? How are you feeling with your 2nd fill? How much do you have in your band now? I go back to Geiss on the 18th for my 2nd fill and I can't wait! They gave me 2 cc's and it nothing for me!! I've beee struggling and trying hard! The holidays knocked me down, and I am trying to get back on track. I am going to FL to visit my family in Feb, and would like to lose about another 10 lbs before I go. Hope I can do it!
  22. I too eat a lot of meatballs too. I like to eat cut up chicken with some hot sauce and a little light blue cheese dressing. Sometimes I eat it plain, mix it with a little rice, or eat on a fat free tortilla wrap. I eat those often when i want a type of bread. I use ground turkey to make meatballs, taco meat and chili as well. I also make a lot of soups too. When I make a shake I use the SF CIB with some peanut butter and a banana. I like to eat chobani yogurt mixed with a packet of oatmeal. Those cottage cheese doubles work well for me too. Sometimes I take some fat free saltines and melt sonme cheese on them as well. I am always trying to find new things!!
