Dr says my calorie count cant be right Grrrrr
LanceBijeaux replied to bayareanan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like you are not getting enough calories my doc says I need 1300-1500 calories a day for weight lost it seems like a lot of food to eat for the band user but it can be done .....Banded Aug 27 APS band with 2cc's I never had a fill yet in 3 visits, so look into finding the right calorie count for your body style which is weight height and age. -
When you touch your port can you feel the place they insert the fluid?

What should the Port feel like?
LanceBijeaux posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am always touching my port just to feel it and was curious what does it feel like or what should it feel like and can you tell by feeling it if the port has flipped? I havent had a fill yet but I think my next visit I will need one. I was banded Aug 27 2010 I have a APS standard band 2cc's of fluid -
I was in the same boat my dietitian said I wasnt eating enough calories for my height and weight now I am eating at least 1500 calories a day and logging on a website is very helpful I join Anytime Fitness and they have a website that allows you to log food intake and exercise. Keep your head up my first two weeks post op was slow losing then it got lit on fire since Aug 27th I am down 71 gym is the key

4 months tomorrow since had the band! Have question...
LanceBijeaux replied to Nicole74's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Keep ya head up I was banded on Aug 27th and I am down 71 pounds (counting the 2 week pre op liquid diet ) and I feel like I am can eat more than a cup but not as much as I could before surgery. I believe the gym is a big part of the whole process and the gym has set my metabolism on fire. Ive been to the doc 3 times no fill and my key is to work hard and make healthy choices of your meals good luck. -

LanceBijeaux replied to MaineJackie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would ask your nutritionist how many calories you can have according to your weight and height, cause I was doing 1000 calories and it wasn't enough calories for weight loss for my body type I am at 1300-1500 daily good luck -
I went for my 3 month doctor visit and doctor says I am doing great I lost 11 pounds this since last visit total thru the whole process is 66 since Aug 27 ....
-
My doctor let me test myself trying some foods just days after surgery so good luck and stay with it if done right you will feel better in months I'm 3 months post and down 66 feeling amazing

Does anyone feel like there metabolism has change for the better? Reason im asking is I cheated a couple times and I felt like I over done it but I am still losing weight like crazy.

Whats the average loss post op per week?
LanceBijeaux posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 7 weeks post op Surgery was Aug 27th and I am down 40 lbs ( well 60 if you count the liquid diet) I've had two doc visits no fills and now my weight is just jumping up and down for example Oct 10 I was 292 and didnt lose anymore until Oct 16th and on Oct 17 I was down to 289 after a long day of golf and walking 2 miles. Just a little frustrated i guess. I got use to the weight flying off im not sure what to do so i guess i will ask for a fill? Any thoughts?
