hi,  my name is jacqui and i have spent the last 20 odd years battling with my weight. im so fed up and low i cant tell you. im very afraid of having a lapband operation, but i figure that as i spend all my time hidden away indoors, ashamed and now have had different health problems as a result of my weight, so im not really living anyway am i? i am more than ready to have a lap band operation.im not rich so i have been thinking of going abroad for my surgery and if anyone knew a safe place and surgeon to go to for the lap band, id be on the next plane, as im afraid of the risks of taking this route as im sure you understand. if i could find  a uk surgeon that charged a reasonable rate i think i would go for that. i would be very grateful to anyone who took the time to tell me of a safe place to go abroad for the surgery and indeed anything thats relevant as im just starting to look into this and know nothing. so really anything anyone could tell me to help me id be so grateful, id love to hear your story and how everything went. also how do i know im getting a good surgeon and not someone  who could make a real mess. i think this frightens me the most. even so im going to get a lapband and again any information or experiences you have would help me so much.love jacqui
