  1. forgot to mention my nutrition appt. was rescheduled but happens soon.

  2. I hail from - drum roll please - Eddyville . If you have not visited Eddyville before (snicker snickerr - doubtful), it is 11 miles from New Bethlehem via legislative route 839. It is two miles down the mahoning creek from the Mahoning Dam. And where did you say you were from? Where do you go for your support groups? I think my first one will be next week. I had thought of going this week and last but both weeks something came up. I am still several months out till my surgery so I have time to explore all of these things. So, I don't remember if you mentioned if you were from Kittanning proper or if you were in the heights? Tell me a little more about yourself. I live in Venus now (don't remember if I mentioned that or not. Venango county is just across the street from me so Venus is right on the Clarion/Venango County border. I see you are a night owl by the time of your email to me. I am sometimes too. Unfortunately I have two canine friends who like to get me up far too early (like this morning) - but hey I guess when you gotta do your business you gotta go. OK, well, off to the shower I go. Take care and thanks for writing back. I will get used to all of these options on the site so hope to talk to you soon. Billie
  3. Hi.........I am from Clarion County - originally from Armstrong County - how are you doing? Have you found anyone else from Armstrong County? I would be glad to meet you - I have my nutrition appt. next week. Billie Schwab
  4. Hi Everyone.....I am brand spanking new here - attended seminar last night in Greenville, PA. My BMI is currently 40 and I cannot lose much weight or I will be under 40 - never had the "shouldn't lose much weight" problem before LOL. Anyhow, I've just turned 50 and am sooooo ready for this process. Like many others I have lost and gained the same 100 lbs before only this time I can't exercise. I have had bilateral total hip arthroplasty (replacements) and had complications with the first. I have lost the abiltiy to exercise the way I need for weight loss. One question I have is will I need to crush meds "forever" or just during the healing period? I take meds for pain management and one med can be changed to a patch, but the other I don't think. It is Neurontin and for nerve pain - surgeon accidentally cut my sciatic nerve and I now have permanent sciatica :blushing: so to be able to walk without crutches I must take this med. I also take Welbutrin and wonder about it's crushability. Any thoughts or guidance? Thanks, Billie
