Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Hi Guys I am two weeks post op now... Gotta say I have adapted to the whole liquid diet a lot better than I thought I would. went on to mushy foods on Monday, kept the liquids going through the day and had mushy food in the evening. The first night i had a scoop of mash and a bit of cod with parsley sauce - this went down fine. I had the same on tuesday night but felt a bit uncomfortable afterwards. Had some scrambled egg with a few beans on Wed and again felt a bit uncomfortable. Last night I managed some cottage pie and felt better than the few nights before. today I have had some weetabix this morning and a yoghurt at lunch but I am having some pains in the middle of my breasts above the rib cage.... Is this wind? or am i eating too much? Not eating it slowly enough? Any suggestions would be really helpful. I am trying my hardest to eat slowly and based on what I have had today its not like i have eaten a lot? Good to hear all of your sucess stories...!! 11lb lighter now in 2 weeks so i must be doing something right I suppose??!!! Sheree xxx

Gotta admit, I had a bit of melted icecream yesterday! It was nice and soothing!! Finding the liquid diet ok but getting a few cravings for other things like pancakes and mash!! I;m just having a yoghurt every morning, then a slim fast milkshake at lunch and some soup in the evening. Not tried having a hot choc yet think I will do that later! How are you getting on with the pain? I'm still feeling uncomfortable, but quite head strong so its not stopping me getting up and walking about - i can only sleep on my right side... Freckles i got my dressings from lloyds Pharmacy too, I am changing mine every day after a shower coz I am paranoid about getting an infection..

Hi all I was banded on Friday by Chris... Came back home yesterday and glad to be home. Cant really add any new advice as I think its already been said. I was in quite a lot of pain but was given pain relief all the time, was the first one of 6 to be banded which was a relieve as i didnt want to wait around all day.. The hospital was great, really clean and nurses were lovely. I tried to get up and walk as quickly as I could which I think helps. I'm still in a bit of pain today but its easing each day.. now on the liquid diet, but feeling nervous about eating properly again as I dont want to do anything wrong! Good luck to those who are getting banded soon... its not something easy to go through but I;m sure/hope it will all be worth it!

Hi Everyone. Not been here for a couple of weeks been sunning myself in egypt! Thanks for the previous comments to my messages. Anyway, my op is booked for 2 weeks tomorrow. I'm really nervous, not about the op itself but the hard work afterwards. Its great to hear of all of your success stories, it really does give you motivation. Anyway, any tips in the next few weeks would be very useful. xxx

Thank you for all of your replys...They are all really helpful. I have contacted Bridgette and she has agreed to pay for hotel etc for me. Apparently they dont run this deal anymore but Frederick has agreed to it. She does seem really helpful. We will see. I am so glad I havent had the experiance of booking with this Tulia Law... What a nasty thing to do.... I hope everyone who is having trouble with her gets their money back. Scooby Doo - I am sorry to hear of your illness, that sounds like an awful thing to have gone through - hope you feel better soon. I am really excited about having the surgery but nervous at the same time as dont know what to expect. All of your blogs have been really helpful and I know everyone reacts in different ways to others. Can anyone tell me when I will be able to get back to work? I dont do a manual job, im a financial advisor but dont want to take too much time off. xx

Hi everyone... i am in the process of booking for the surgery in belguim. I am planning on paying my deposit tomorrow with Brigette butnoticed on here that a lot of you went direct with Chris and got the hotel and taxi's included? Bridgette hasn't offered me this package. I am getting a bit nervous now, my op is pencilled in for Oct 22nd. I am 28 years old and struggled with my weight for about 8 years, I am getting bigger and bigger each year and its time i took action!! I dont want to feel this tired and unconfident anymore., So, I am hoping that having this surgery will help. It seems that none of you have regretted having this done which is refreshing. I wonder whether anyone can offer me any advice? xx
