Being 18 and 370 lbs in NEVER EASY. All my life i had been big and after a while i didn't see an end or hope for myself so what did i do? i ate some more. After a while food became my comfort, my best friend my EVERYTHING. Its scary to think that on a regular basis my diet consisted of 3-4 thousand calories a day!!!! then one day early 2010 i woke up and it was hard to get out of bed. NO LITERALLY. it was nearly PHYSICALLY hard to get out of bed. and that when i knew that a change had to take place. I met with Dr. Fielding and months after i was walking into NYU to begin the rest of my life. IT WAS THE BEST DECISION IVE EVER MADE no doubt about it. It has now been 5 months and i have dropped 109 lbs. and i couldnt be happier. I hope to be at my goal weight before it completes a year of my surgery date.
