Hi Super good luck with your surgery and recovery. Yes, in MN it would be hard to do an outdoor program, but if there were an indoor track somewhere you could do it. The program is by Prevention in a book called "Walk Off Weight". It is an 8 week program building you up with resistance band excercises and stretches, core, upper body, lower body. I am enjoying it. Now I have to go quit the gym! Ginny

had my surgery 7/16/2010 and am losing weight. Have had one tightening 2 weeks ago. Started a new workout program 3 days ago. Hate gym and started Prevention "Walk Off Weight" program. Just want someone to talk with (email or on here) I am a 66 year old female. Just found this website today:smile2:

I wrote a message to you the other day, but guess I didn't know how to send it. I am excited to have someone my own age to "talk:" to. This is an amazing journey. I am in NC visiting my sister and had dinner at my nieces last night. I did really well, but the band is so restrictive that I really have not choice. I have lost 30 lbs from my highest weight, which is so exciting.
My son lives in Thousand Oaks, Ventura County and I am visiting there the end of Aug.
Keep going. It sounds like you have a huge amount of support. And we know it will be worth it in the end.
My email is luckyladybuggw@optonline.net. That might be easier to "talk". I am in communication with one other woman who is probably in her 40's and it is great to have this support.

don't know if it is "normal", but I had the same experience. It was more like a pinching sensation, but it hurt. Actually, for me it lasted for about4 weeks.

i agree. I use the Bodybugg that they use (had it long before the show started. It was a great tool the first time I lost weight. I am usiing it now to keep track of calories in and calories used. (My son works for the company and teaches the contestants how to use it.... and no, I have not met the trainers, altho I have been to the ranch!!) Can't wait to see the new season.:thumbup: -
