Any September 2010 Bandsters out there?
peggycas replied to sara31's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was banded on 9/2/10. I haven't had a fill yet since my band was so tight after surgery. I'm schedule to see Dr. again on 10/11 and he will consider fill at that time. I have lost 31 lbs so far and have not gained any yet. I'm hoping I will continue to lose at a steady rate. Keep up the good work. -
Looking for September 2010 Bandsters

Banded922. I felt the same way about the pocket of air. Felt like I had to burp but nothing would happen. I had a very large hiatal hernia repair at the same time so it was expected. I'm just over three weeks out now and feeling great. Down 29.5 lbs and just started on regular food on Friday. First thing I had was a crunchy club cracker. Amazing how much I missed crunch. Good luck on your journey. I swear it will get better. -

80 grams of protein is amazing. I can't get in that much. -

My surgery was 9/2/10. I get to start "real" food tomorrow. For me, liquids were so much better than mushies. Only mushy I could tolerate were potatoes. -

Understand completely. One week out and I got sick on Jello. Probably won't ever eat it again. Tried a nut today and no problem. Not pushing it though. -
Good luck Melissa. This site is very helpful. I was banded on 9/2/10 and doing well. Had a few ups and downs, but overall doing well.

Welcome fellow Texan. I did not have any embarrassing moments. I've given birth twice so all embarrassment has gone away when in the hospital.

peggycas replied to SarahMarie123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I take a liquid multi-vitamin and use Unjury protein powder. Was not concerned with all that until about day 3. Water, broth are good. I'm two weeks postop -

peggycas replied to neenee717's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm sorry you're having so much pain. Fortunately, I did not. Try heat or ice to see if it helps any. Good luck. I had port site pain for about a week and a half. I'm just now two weeks out from 9/2/10 surgery. -
