    I'm sleeved!!!!!

Feeling really awesome today! Four days out. Going to the mall and do some window shoppping getting in walking time. Once I get back to work the only time I will have to exercise is of an evening and on weekends. I will make the best of the time I have. No worries.

    Confused about food intake

Everyone is different. I had only two days on clear. Day three through week four is full liquid for me. Granted I was just sleeved on Monday 3/7. So this period is a touch and feel time. I do drink 8 ounces of Protein shake. Can take almost an hour to drink. I then wait a few hours try to get in a couple of ounces of soup, Water all the time. The gas causes feeling of fullness / pressure. So have to be careful of that. I'm still in the learning stages myself. Deb
  5. Surgery on 3/7 I know the full feeling. I feel very full. Not able to get in a lot of fluids. I did take one gas-x strip. Going to give it a few hours to see it helps. Walking helps but not enough to release the pressure. I'm sure it will get better. Deb

(Less to do before I go back to work.) I have my post op goodies, ordered my Vitamins. (should have them by Thursday) Have overnight bag packed. Going over check list. Ready to go. Feeling really good righ now. Anyone else getting sleeved tomorrow? Deb

    Less than 24 hrs

Totally agree. I'm getting sleeved tomorrow too. Today has been the "get things in order" day. Cleaning, doing laundry and other stuff. As I know sure as the sun rises and sets my hubby won't be able to do everything , so I have given him a headstart. No dirty clothes or dishes. Floors swept and mopped. Clean everything. So he can do other things and not worry about all of that. He decided to take two weeks off with me. So he will be my nurse for a few days. LOL.....Today so far for me has been very productive. Good Luck to us all. Deb

    Food intake after surgery

Wow Dudeman thats a lot of weight!!!!! I'm scheduled to be sleeved 3/7. My Doc's post op diet is Clear Liquids for two days. Full liquids from day 3- week 4. Mushies from week 4-6 then re-introduce solid foods. So each doctor is different. Congrats on the weight loss. I hope I will be just as successful as everyone here. Deb
  15. Wow Kim!!! Sounds like you are doing great. I hope I can say I'm doing good after 5 or 6 days out. I'm scheduled for Monday. You are doing such an amazing job!!!! Deb

  17. I will be sleeved on March 7th. I asked what bougie size would be used. I was told 44 fr. and that he would over sew the staple line. Just how big will my sleeve be? Just how much of a role does bougie size play in the amount of weight that will be lost? From reading the posts on the forum I'm seeing 32 and 34 are the norm. How will my sleeve be different from a sleeve that had a 34 bougie used? Thanks for any information on this, Deb
  18. Hello everyone! Pre-Op done this morning. I thought I would be all day. But Didn't take long at all. Finished about 1:00. The longest part was the drive. Surgery on Monday. I'm so excited. Found out my surgeon will be using a 44 fr bougie. Anyone know exactly how BIG or SMALL that is. I have tried looking for that information. And the percentage of weight loss with each bougie size. I have yet to find it. I did question that with him, he did say that I would feel the restriction without a doubt. I even asked if he did over sew and he said yes. Don't know if that will have an impact on the restriction that is felt or not. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!!!! Deb

    Problem with approval??

Have you called and spoke with the bariatric coordinator? Were you assigned a case manager? It wouldn't hurt to call and ask. I have UHC as well and I called and asked a lot of questions. Just a suggestion. Deb
