I am a thirty old female who has struggled with weight since my childhood.  I realized when I bent over to tie my shoe, holding my breath and gasping, that I had to change my life. I also realized that I was getting worse and it was starting to affect my children.  I hardley don't feel like playing with them.  So I made an appointment with my doctor and started researching the lap band surgery.  It has taken nine months from start to finish to get approval from my insurance.  The longest part of the process was getting six months of documented weight loss with your doctor.  So here I am and I am scheduled for surgery in less than two weeks.
