Oh this sounds yummy too. Now I have some recipes to take to the grocery store tomorrow. Maybe I will try ground turkey with it, or if I can find some low cal sausage. Thanks. -

That recipe sounds awesome. How many servings does it make? I am going to try it tomorrow. I had tilapia and mashed carrots for dinner last night- Wow it tasted wonderful. I think if I don't try anything sweet, it won't wake up those taste buds. It will be three weeks and the only thing I have had resembling sweets is the Isopure drinks. My biggest downfall was coffee with lots of creamer. I have had only black cherry tea for three weeks now. I guess my real test will be when I go back to work on Monday. -

WOW I didn't see any entries about this before so I was afraid to say anything. I had an accident my first week, and it stained my commode seat! Lucky for me the kitties did not want to come in and see what was going on. Three days later I was so constipated I was getting worried, but I crushed up some Senikot and later that day I had relief. Right now, though, I have extreme hunger. I started on soft foods this week so maybe that will help to fill me up. Pureed soups did not fill me up. I am planning on egg beaters, cheese and mashed up banana right after my walk. Thanks for your honesty. -

Oh how cool! thanks for telling us to what to expect. My 2nd post op visit is 15 Oct and hopefully will have a fill, as I am constantly hungry. Sounds like it won't be a big thing. -

I just asked my friend whose surgery was at 1200 noon, and she was told nothing after midnight. If I were you I would call your surgical team, you wouldn't want ur surgery to be cancelled. -

What you are saying makes sense. I had to be at the hospital at 0515 and couldn't eat or drink after midnight. Maybe you could call your surgical team and ask them. -

Oh yea, I forgot about not wearing a bra. I too had one incision right on the band line. So wear something dark. I am still wearing my Crocs, I can't lean over enough yet to put on gym socks and sneakers. I am walking on the treadmill in Crocs. My other incision is below the waist line, but if you have something that is too tight it might pull. -

Yea I have had several times where I was so hungry I got light headed. I woke up at 0430 starving, and ate some yogurt. Just a bit ago I had lentil soup, as I was really hungry. I was told to have regular meals and planned snacks, so far though, I have just been eating when hungry. Not sure if your hunger was real or "head hunger". But bacon always smells awesome. What did you do to combat it? I try to wait 30 mins and if I still feel hungry then it must be the real thing. -

Congrats you are on your way! I didn't think they had a gown big enough for me, but they did. Also I was given fuzzy slipper socks, but you might want to bring slippers for when you need to get up and walk the halls to dissipate the gas. Some folks don't have to stay overnight, some of us did. It all depends on how fast you recover. I was given a plastic bag of toothpaste and brush, and shampoo, but I never felt good enough to use them. It might be irritating to have a waistband unless it's really loose. If you have already had your pre op- you could call the hospital with your questions. I also had forgotten to put some folks phone numbers in my cell phone- so I could call them. You might want to do that. I had to find someone to give me a ride home, since I stayed two nights instead of one. -

WOW u have alot of energy!! Awesome. Today I had Egg Beaters for the first time, with cheese- really good. I did buy some Baby turkey dinner, and guess will mix that with mashed potatoes. It was hard to get moving, even though it did help. -
Been tired all day since my excursion to the grocery store. I think I'm going to bed earlier. I still can't figure out how you put tickefactory into your entries. Maybe tomorrow I will figure it out. wDEvAjx Exercise - Fitness Ticker"> > "]

I see you have tickerfactory and my fitness pal. Which code and where do you put it, so it will show up. I've tried several places and the only place I got it to show up, is my Google home page. I wasn't crazy about unsweetened applesauce but it could be worse... -

Crackers, wow. I think I have a few more weeks before I can have one. You sound wonderful. I burped everywhere for 5 days. So glad you are feeling great! -

Wasn't that yogurt wonderful? I had one week of clear liquids, one week of full liquids, and today I started on pureed foods. I tried 1/2 cup of egg beaters and I sliced a string cheese into it, then nuked it. It was awesome and quite filling. Today I went shopping and bought instant mashed potatoes. Hope it's ok to make them without the margarine cause I don't have any. I am eating really slowly. When we out to lunch the other day, I did eat pureed soup and apple juice at the same time, just to ensure it all went down ok. I was only nauseous one time, when I tried coffee in the hospital. Other than that, I burped for 5 days before I had a toot and a BM. You sound as though you are doing great!!! -
http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wDEvAjx/exercise.png[/img]I am still pooped following my outing to the grocery store today, but still plan on walking 6 minutes later on today. Getting ready now to try some egg beaters and cheese in the microwave. I looked under my chair and there are both the kitties all curled up. Wish I could angle the camera down there! Each day is a little better, and reading everyone's posting on LAP-BAND®®®.com does help. I have another week to get my energy level back up for the night shift. And weekends are a bear, the busiest days of the week, and often we are there by ourselves. Hope my coworker doesn't take off the first weekend I am back. But I gotta get my mind set for it. I told the dietician I was going to bring lots of little foods in case I get so hungry I am stuck at work. We don't get lunch breaks, often cannot even get to the bathroom. The hardest thing has been to not drink for 30 minutes after eating- that is such a habit.

:smile2:I feel so envious of everyone. But I must remember we all heal different. Today is had been two weeks. I drove for the first time to the grocery store. I walked all around the store and did pretty well. But by the time I got to checkout, I was pooped. Customer service brought me a chair while doing checkout. That little rest helped me and I let them take my groceries out to the car for me. Once home, I took one bag at a time inside, then sat on the recliner for a few minutes, sipping water. Glad I only had 4 bags!! It was a lot harder on me than I thought it would be. I wasn't in good shape before the surgery though. I have been on night shift for six months, and exhausted all the time. Was diagnosed with thyroid disease in June, and now back on that medication. So hopefully my energy levels will improve. I am up to 6 mins on the treadmill. Thanks for all your inspiring tales. You guys are keeping me inspired. -

I crush mine then mix with a bit of water, then just chug it. It goes right down. I didn't see the adult Tylenol so I purchased the children's Tylenol and take a tablespoon- cherry flavor too! So glad you are home. -

Glad you are home!! Yea I had the oxygen problem and I was told to "blow" as well to get your lungs going. I have had pneumonia before and didn't want that on top of everything else. No gas pains, that is awesome, hope you continue to do well. -

This recipe was originally posted by playermimi: Spray a large mug with pam. put in the mug one light laughing cow cheese cut up and 1/2 cup egg beaters, stir. Nuke on high 1 minute, then remove and stir and put back in microwave for another 30 to 45 seconds until not watery. The combinations are endless- only about 100 calories an about 15 gms of protein. I'm going to have that for lunch shortly. Last night I tried some fat free refried beans. They were good, but gave me gas, and I tooted for awhile. -
Had my first post op yesterday, and PA said I needed to heal. So no fill, next visit is on 15 Oct. So I am on my own till then. My ride took me to lunch and I had pureed soup and apple juice. It was awesome. Of course my friend had to speak to the waitress and tell her not to feed me till I lost 100 pounds. This girl makes comments like that all the time. She did it one time at our table full of 10 people. Everyone just sat there shocked. I just mumbled that was not very nice and did not speak again the rest of the evening. She still thinks she is my friend. I spoke with the dietician today and told her about gettting really hungry in the evening, and it's ok to have another snack as needed. Wonderful kitties are still by my side. Filling out the paperwork for FMLA has been difficult. Getting ready to walk for 6 mins.

So glad everyone is coming along. Tomorrow is my day for scrambled eggs, and mashed potatoes. Can't wait to try the recipe with the egg and cheese in the microwave. I've found the tickerfactory.com, but which link do I put and where do I put it (be nice now!!)...
