    Is My Band Too Tight?

As long as you are getting your essential nutrients down, I would give it a little while longer. I can only eat about 1/2 cup of solid foods at a meal. My healthcare provider told me this was OK, as long as nothing got stuck and I got enough protein. You can use cronometer.com (free) and input what you actually eat to see if you are getting enough.
  3. My healthcare provider's advice: Get at least 60 gms Protein daily Have Vitamin B levels checked Have Vitamin D3 levels checked Have complete thyroid panel done Gwen in FL
  4. More than likely, it is related to eating and you having the band makes all that change. Can you have your band checked with fluoroscopy? Does it happen when you drink too fast, too? Gwen in FL

    Curious About Shakes

I don't know the carnation nutrition label. Atkins has low sugar and decent protein. I will also sometimes make a shake from GNC or like with 20 or more grams of protein. This is probably a crutch for me just to make sure I do get enough protein every day. Low thyroid, combined with heredity has left me with very fine and thin hair. Got the thyroid regulated and I want to make sure I don't lose any more hair, hence the Protein Shakes. Gwen in FL

    Curious About Shakes

I will have a Protein shake for Breakfast several times a week. Sometimes my band won't allow anything with substance to go down until 10 or 11 a.m. A Protein shake (Atkins Mocha Latte) allows me to have something relatively healthy. It's also easily portable and goes on the road with me when I travel. Gwen in FL
