I have the same issue...take stool softners and get you some benefiber take it 3 times a day. Drink plenty of water. If it is starting to get uncomfortable. I have used Milk Magnesia. Just stay close to a bathroom..

Qtney and David, Stick with it. Its hard but does get easier, you will be surprised at what you loose before your surgery. I lost 27 lbs during my pre-op diet. I could have walked on cloud nine the day of surgery. I couldnt wait to be able to eat some solids though...now just scared of what to eat. But just wanted to say...Stick with it..Drink alot...

Did anyone ever gain before they had their 1st fill?:thumbup: I am two and halfs weeks post op. Eating 3 meals a day. And I have gained 9 lbs in the last week.

My doctor released me to start eating some solids. I have had grilled chicken tenders, turkey patties, he told me to eat steamed vegs, and the insides of baked potatoes. I have had fruit cocktail with no sugar. I have done reg. eggs and egg beaters. I havent counted calories. I know I have cut my intake down alot from what I use to eat. So I was surprised to have gained weight. I dont go back for my 1st fill until oct 4th..but I am getting worried if I can get that 9 lbs and some more back off before I have to go back in.

Have you tried doing a Neti-pot 3 times a day. I have bad sinus problems so I can relate to yours. I think the Neti works wonders. You might give it a try. You can find them at Wal-Greens I know.

hi, I am new here. Just recently been banded. 8-24-2010. Lost 27 lbs so far. Was looking for others in the Kansas City North area that have been banded also. But would love to talk to anyone.:thumbup:
