    I'm on day 8 and I also have the diarrhea. I've been drinking gatorade because I was getting dehydrated from all the loss of fluid and the elektrolytes help out a bunch. Every day I see a little improvement, so I'm sure you will too. Good Luck!

    Thanks for responding...you're the first one that sounds just like me! Today I'm able to drink much more without pain and I woke up a little dehydrated. It's going pretty good though now. I'm 6 days past surgery and I'm down 11 lbs! I'm on Full Liquids and I'm doing okay. My port site is really sore but everything else is moving along. Thanks again!

    I was banded Friday, 8/27 and am also having trouble getting enough liquid in Everytime I sip, a few minutes later I belch and then have the pain at the top of my stomach as if it's passing through. It goes quick, but how long does this last? I'm not getting 48oz of liquid in daily because it's so hard to keep drinking when I have that kick back felling! Anyone have this issue?

    Cannrun...I'm 5 days past surgery and when I drink, it is usually followed by a burp and then pain as it passes through I guess? I don't know how to get 48 oz of liquid in if this keeps up. Also, my port is sore and swollen, you?

    my bloating seems to be going away a little at a time, but now my port site is still swollen and sore. Everything else is moving right along and I feel pretty good!

    I've lost 8 lbs of water as well...so happy! Still waiting for the bloating to dissipate but other than that, feel good!

    I'm on day 3 and every time I drink, I have to burp and then there is soreness/pain around my stomach...does anyone else have that?
