Anyone else fighting plantar fasciitis?
mondaylady replied to Larly109's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
yes, bout 4 plus months. My Chiro suggested KTape. I bought mine at Walmart. don't buy the cheap one, it does not stick. I paid about $17 or so for mine. I got on their web site and the KTape people gave instructuions on how to apply. I am so much better now using the KTAPE. I can definitely tell the differrence if I don't have it on. -

I am 75 and b'day in Jan will be 76. I have completed all requirements and waiting on surgery date. gastric by pass. surgeon has to re-do a prior hiatal surgery from some 30+ years ago to correct acid reflux. Surgeon says the by pass will correct this problem. am glad to meet up with you for sure. I think there's more seniors on here, but probably scattered on the various boards. -

I have medicare and UMR. I have not met all of my UmR deductible and will probably owe 1200 dollars. My question is this. I will see doc at his office prior to surgery. Do i pay rest of deductible to him? if so, when i get to hospital and dr office not posted the deductible payment, will hospital ask me to pay the remainder ? hmm, if that happens, then i've paid twice.anybody else have this problem? thanks

I am 75 and happy that i am on this journey. I've had to see a cardio and physch test and a nut for three months. I have one more visit with nut and then ready for insurance submission. I have mild spinal stenosis, BP and a sliding hilatial hernia. My doc says by pass because i did have hernia suregery many years ago and he concerned about scar tissuse attached to liver. I am happy to find other "youngsters" like me taking this step. I am excited but concerned a little about all the re-coup issues, like the gas etc. Hope I breeze thru ok. I live in Tx

i have the flex and love it. Keeps track of steps too. I am long way from 10,000 but it sure helps me keep track of what i do walk a day. After surgery, I think i will really like it as it is fun to keep track of walking. I have not set up for sleep yet.

I am excited to get this behind me so i can begin recovery process for a new me. I want to see that skinny gal in window reflection at the bank and at drug store, want to be able to climb into truck, want to be physically active again. -

I have had two office visits and asked for receipt each time. And plan on continuing to do so. I always ask whenever at a doc office"are you charging me if i asking you about this since not why i come in here?" if she says yes, i don't ask. They charge for everything and i want to know ahead of time.It my understanding the surgeon office does not handle anthesiologist or ? others. before they do anything to me I am asking if medicare and my insurance pays. Haha. imight be walking out of hosp. just kidding
