I have been overweight for most of my life and it was always a battle and an emotional ordeal for me.  In 2010, as I got closer to 300 lbs and was no longer successful with the weight loss programs that worked for me in the past, I decided it was enough.  I had thought about bariatric surgery in the past but always thought gastric bypass was scary.  My mother had it and still has complications from it.  So I thought that Lap-Band was perfect.  It seemed less invasive and appeared to have much less complications.  I just had the surgery and hope that it will help me to be healthier and have more enery to play with my three year old son.
