  1. Happy 26th Birthday Katie87!

  2. 1 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 1st Anniversary Katie87!

  3. I had my band in august 08 and in feb 09 I got pregnant with my first/only baby. As soon as I met with my OB I told them about my band and I was instructed to have it let out asap. I didnt let it out till I was 6 months pregnant for fear of gaining weight...I lost 62 lbs from aug 08 to feb 09. I should have had my band loosened more then I did because it restricted the nutrition my baby was getting she was 4 lbs at birth and spent her 1st month in NICU. After talking to Dr's about pregnancy and lap band they suggest you loosen the band and start on perscription before you concieve. I have talked to women who have had the band and bypass's and their children were born with birthdefects because they didnt get the baby the nutrition he/she needed. Talk to your Dr and try to plan your pregnancy so your baby starts health and stays healthy... I now have a perfectly healthy 8 month sassy little blue eyed girl, but she had a very rough start.
  4. i think you should go back to liquids for a week. Have you heard of the Audio Diets ? its a CD that tells you how to loose 40lbs in 90 days with your lap band. If its hard for you to eat food now would be a great time to start. Otherwise when I find im choking or having trouble eating and vomiting alot I go back to my protien shakes for a week and im fine.
  5. Got a 1/2 cc fill on monday I now have 6cc's I am unable to drink anything including water. I live 4 hours away from the Dr's I would hate to drive all the way back for nothing. I've never had pain or not been able to drink water like this before? Any thoughts?
