I think you will definately feel it tommorrow after the anesthesia has worn off. The 2nd day was the worst for me. I hope you heal nicely.

I've been banded for almost 4 months and just today I noticed when I walk I can feel my port moving inside me kinda like when I was first banded. Is this normal? Did something happen with the port? Has this happened to anyone? Thank you for your help.
-
I'm not sure if mine is low profile or not. I just started feeling it today. I won't be getting a fill until April 16. I have always been able to feel my port from the outside but never felt this feeling before. I'll call my doctor. Thank you.

I have 5 scars. 1 big one and 4 small incisions. I was only at the surgery center from 830-430 and got to go home. It took about a month to fully feel myself again. I hope this helps. Oh and my surgery cost 12,900.

To Weigh or Not to Weigh
Missy0224 replied to benbax's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey Welcome to LBT! I usually do weigh every morning (when I weigh the lightest) But you'll notice more of a difference if you weigh maybe once a week. Pick a day that you want to weigh and you'll be happier with the results other than weighing everyday and not seeing the scale budge. I hope this helps. -
I just recently joined 24 hr fitness and for now I'm only doing cardio. Eventually I would like to start weight training but I don't know the proper way to lift weights without gaining muscle on top of fat. Anyone have any ideas as to what reps I do? Thank you guys. You are all so helpful

It's weird cause pre surgery, the only dryness I would experience would be my legs and my face but now it's my stomach and a little on my face. Weird how the surgery changed alot of things.

Hey everyone. I've started a boot camp as of today. I'm trying to find out what is the healthy intake for protein, carbs, calories, and fat grams. Can anyone tell me what is recommended for each? Thank you very much.

I've been banded since November 28, 2006 and I just had my first fill yesterday. He put in 2 cc. How come I feel no restriction and also how can you tell the difference between physical and mental hunger? Melissa Dr. Kasper Houston, TX 1st fill 1/23/07 2cc

Thank you for your input. My doctor is weird about fills. I told him I feel no restriction and he keeps telling me its only a tool. But it is supposed to restrict me right?

You've done really well so far. Trust me it only gets better. I just remember about 2-3 weeks post op, thinking geez am I ever going to feel normal again? But in time you will. Just remember that this time is for healing. Give it a little more time and I promise you will feel a lot better. Good luck to you.

Oh I've been stuck a few times just because before I got my band I ate really fast most of the time. But I hear a lot of people aren't at their sweet spot until their 3 or 4th fill

I'm not swollen anymore. When were you banded?

I drank alcohol last night. It hasn't even been 2 weeks since my surgery and I feel like crap today. I ordered a beer without even thinking about it cause I was already drunk. I feel so stupid that I did that. I think it's what made me throw up. Do you think that my band could slip after one mistake? :help:
-
Well thank you. I do feel a little better now. I'm just so paranoid about slippage cause I'm self pay :cry
-
I had my surgery done on Nov 28, 2006. I was wondering how long do you think I have to wait before I start drinking alcohol again? Because I'm only 21 and I still want to enjoy my life.:help:

Well see my doctor never said No Carbonation. So I dunno. We'll see. Thank you for your input

Ya that's what happened to my mom. She waited a month and she went to the casino and had 1 gin and tonic and got pretty messed up. I'm a light weight anyway. I'll probably wait 3 weeks. But damn I'll miss chugging beers
