I decided to get the lap band after my grandson was born. I had been thinking about it for a while. I went to several doctors and finally my insurance directed me to dr waggoner. I went to my first appt in may 2010 and did everything by the book. I could have had my surgery sooner but had summer and family plans. dr waggoner and his staff worked with me as to when would be a good time for me.  I had my surgery aug 18 2010; I was in alot  of pain after surgery but the hospital staff quickly got that under control. I was home the next day; the recovery has been slow and steady.  My goal is to take one day at a time and to keep moving forward. I lost 16lbs on the preop diet and 4 more since i have been home; this has been the best choice I have made;
