Four days ago was my 10 month surgiversary. I have been at 80 lbs lost for about four months now. I am wondering is this it for me, or will I all of a sudden drop like crazy soon. I will admit I snack like there is no tomorrow. Only if I can get this under control and push that treadmill harder I can win at this. I have days where I eat healthy and days where I want nothing but junk or snack foods. I saw my doctor this past Monday and he says I am doing great as far as weight loss. But my mind says girl get it together; its not over yet. I'm also scheduled to see the plastic surgeon on Jan. 3rd. I know this is early, but I like to know where I stand as far as the procedure goes. I've been watching youtube videos of the abdominalplasty surgical procedure. Well, I will check in soon. I need to stay connected with this site. Hope you all continue to do well.

Thanks. You have a great ideas. This is why I made it back to the site. But I have a question. How are you getting in that many calories a day? What does your meal(s) consists of. I normally have a Protein shake or Cereal in the morning, lunch is meat, salad or veggies; at times garlic bread and dinner probably the same as lunch or I'm badly snacking. I love Lipton peach tea and lately I have been making lemonade with fresh lemons; craving this everyday. Water is truly not a friend of mine. But I read a site today at www.bariatricchoice.com on water and it really helped me to understand the meaning of and why it is needed. Sooooo, lol, beginning tomorrow I am going to try and a bottle (16oz) every one 1/2hours. This will surely help in the snack area that is driving my weight not to go down.

Thank you. I do understand about the abdominal removal. And I will be trying really hard. Thanks for the advice.

Thank you Lissa. And yes, I know what I need to do. I am trying to reach 100lbs lost by 2/18 (surgiversary date).

Kaiser and Plastic Surgery Options

Hello Although Dr. Taller was my surgeon, Dr. Tanaka released me to go home, because my surgeon was in emergency surgery. You are correct about Dr. Tanaka. He comes off as no-nonsense, but is very funny and cares about the patient. Dr. Taller is the best also. Very informative and a cutie, LOL. -
www.justmysize.com has them also for $4.99 .... I wear them under jeans, dress, under workout clothes, etc. A side note: They are tighter than stockings, but worth it. Helps with the inside of my thighs and butt not to jiggle as much (or not at all). I love they way they make feel. You can find them in the section of the catalog for stocking and online search leggins or tights.

from Sophia::::Your BMI must be no greater than 30 (Kaiser). Have a stable weight (they say for at least 6 months). Hi Sohpia Did the instructor emphasize this as a must or this is what Kaiser prefers? I have an appt Jan 3 with plastic surgeon. However, I am not at goal, but my weight has been the same since June. BMI is over 35.

Hello I thought maybe this website will help us to understand the differences. The website contains pictures of patients who had a different of variety of surgeries---before and after. Please Beware http://www.prplastic.com/tummy_tuck_9.htm

Hello I've been researching TTs, Panni's, abdominal lipectomy, abdominalplasty on the internet and watching surgery procedures on youtube.... one website I found that were written by the plastic surgeons in Bellflower, Ca is http://xnet.kp.org/permanentejournal/spr08/abdominal_lipectomy.html I found this to be great information. It seems that Kaiser approved for patients to have an abdominal lipectomy which is the panniculectomy and abdominalplasty together. Although I am at 85 pounds lost, I have an appt to see plastic surgeon in a week 1/2. I merely want to know where I stand in having the procedure and go from there. WIll keep you all posted. Good luck Sophia Krys Good luck to all of you.

Hope everyone has had a wonderful 10 months. How is everyone doing so far? It's holiday time and tempted eating habits can be steadied if we watch ourselves closely. I know I've been snacking a lot of not so good things for a while. But my mind is slowly getting it it together. I need more support now; my reason for coming back to the site. Happy Holidays to all of you and be safe. Krys

I am down 18.5 pounds and sooooo very ecstatic with my progress. Not as fast as others, but I am me. Yesterday I went to meet with Ana at Kaiser Bellflowers' satellite office and when I got on the scale and it read 293.5, it took so much out of me not to run down the hall screaming of joy. To see 293 to me is I will never see 300's again. I don't have a scale at home, which is wonderful for me. My next weigh-in will be May 18. Can't wait.
