  2. thanks guys for your responses. they are very helpful.
  3. :confused:Hi, I have an 11cc band and have just got another fill which now comes to 10 cc. I can still eat almost as much food as before the fill. With only 1cc left, I am worried that I will not get enough restriction from the lap band.

Do you think this will work

I think a small portion of fish or chicken and a side of vegetables would be healthier and may actually help sustain fullness for longer.
  5. :glare:Hi everyone. I was filled on 9/3/2010 and at first I got plenty constriction, but after the swelling went down I am hungry and can eat almost as much as before banding. My Dr. said to get first fill in 6-8 weeks later. I am wondering if everyones Dr. said to wait that long? Or, if others are getting their first fill in like 4 weeks.??
  6. You could try not having one long hard workout and instead a fast walk, jog or lunges in 15 min intervals 2-3 times daily. This way you will burn just as many calories, but but not at once so you might not notice the increased hunger. Another thing to consider is that muscle weighs more than fat. So maybe you should focus more on inches than weight. Good luck!

    Eating too soon?

I think you are prob fine, but I would be careful not to eat to much in one sitting. Over eating can cause band slippage is what my doctor told me. Listen to your body. If you get gas or pain in your chest or shoulders you may be advancing to soon.

    Excess Skin fears!

I read that staying hydrated while losing weight helps with the elasticity in your skin. Another way to avoid that is to not lose weight to rapidly....I was just banded 2 weeks ago so I know losing weight slowly maybe hard to do

    feeling a little down...

Hi. That pain you feel is most likely refererred pain from gas or fullness because there is a nerve that can get irritated by now having that band in place. It runs along your stomach up to your shoulders. The good news is that there are certain things you can do to help...liquid tylenol, codeine, massages or hot or cold packs can also help relieve that.
  10. I was banded 8 days ago and today is our wedding anniversary. I would really like to eat something besides broth or protein shake... Any suggestions??
  11. Hi, I was banded on 9/3 and I am hungry for real food. I try staying full with liquids ind drinkable soups but they don't seem to fill me up for more than 30 min. Anyone else experience this??
