The surgeon requires a 2 week pre-op diet of Medifast. Replace 2 meals with medifast shakes and one healthy meal. We're not suppose to snack between meals. But if I don't have a piece of fruit, then I'm ready to start on my arm! I have 3 more days of it and then on to clear liquids for a day! He wants us to lose 5-10lbs before surgery. I guess it is suppose to shrink the liver. Since the stomach is behind the liver, it makes it easier to move the liver out of the way to get to the stomach. I guess it wouldn't hurt if you did!

I feel your pain! I'm a week into my pre-op diet and it seems to be easier during the when I'm at work. The weekends seem to be my problem. Today was bad. I could have eaten anything i could find! I thought about gnawing my arm off but thought I might need it later . I would just drink more water or eat some cantaloupe and remember why I'm doing this. Good Luck!

June 13th for me!!

I have my pre-op appt tomorrow june 6th for blood work, chest xrays and that sorts! I go in on June 13 for my band! I also have a bag of mixed emotions! I keep telling myself that it will all be worth it in the end!
