Perhaps you are too tight. Call your doctor.

Good for you! Read as much as you can on these forums so you know what to expect.

I see no one has responded yet. I'm in Northern California and paid $13,600. Maybe send a direct message to HeatherinCA I think she had her band at UC Irvine.

What's the deal with drinks ?
CheckYes replied to SkinnyInside=)'s topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get full when I drink but not because of the band, I think. The great thing is that I am not allowed to eat within a half hour of drinking so if I'm feeling hungry, I drink some water. Then when my 30 minute timer goes off signaling I can eat, I'm usually not hungry. That has helped me so much with figuring out if I am physically hungry or head hungry. I have no fill too so it's really made a difference in keeping me on track. -
I AM SOOO CONSTIPATED
CheckYes replied to Rosemarie K's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doc said that the first line of defense is to increase your water intake. How much water are you drinking? I'd bet it's not enough. Consume 80 ounces of water tomorrow and see what happens. Those fiber and stool products DO NOT work properly unless you increase your water intake. -
waiting on call back from doc

Sometimes they don't removing the priming fluid and someone recently said they had priming fluid and air in their band which was causing a lot of discomfort. -

Did your doctor put fluid in your band at the time of surgery? Call him/her and find out. If so, have the fluid removed immediately. -
Your hormones will be out of whack for a while if you lose weight quickly. That could affect your cramps. My doctor said my body was used to regulating hormones for me at 250 pounds, not 185 so it will take a while to adjust.

I am doing what I swore I wouldn't
CheckYes replied to LVGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I weigh everyday but I bought a Wi-Fi scale that tracks my weight, body fat and BMI so I don't even have to look. It's made by Withings if anyone is interested in getting one. It also imports directly into several calorie tracker programs too. I use LoseIt with it. -
My whole life I did that to myself. I'm not experiencing it this time at all - what's different? Band + therapy.

Yes, what are you eating?

How do you get enought water each day
CheckYes replied to Lilium's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I drink at least 80 ounces a day. I am able to chug it down - especially at the gym. Do you mean you can't guzzle because you are too tight? If so - that's too tight!! -
Do your Protein Shakes give you horrible breath?
CheckYes replied to puglover's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm not allowed to have gum so I totally relied on Listerine Breath Strips. No chewing or swallowing requires and they were so useful post op! -
Post Op Question
CheckYes replied to angelinamariee11's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wait a second - some people do get a pain med pump. I didn't but I have seen people on this forum post about it. -
I was scared too. It's totally normal to have those feelings. It's been the best decision I ever made. I wish I would have done it sooner.

I don't know if you identify as a food addict but if you do, or think you might, have you considered going to a Food Addicts Anonymous meeting? You can find a local meeting at www.foodaddictsanonymous.org.

I don't even know what there would be to drain. I know I didn't have anything to drain. -
Severe Contipation.....no BM in two weeks
CheckYes replied to skinnytex's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If it is constipation and not a blockage you need to massively increase your water consumption. -
Teehee... Ticklerfactory.com sounds fun though!

I need words of encouragement!
CheckYes replied to onamshin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't worry. Doesn't sound like you are feeling any pain or that you are experience any negative effects from the supplement. If you need a fiber supplement - my doctor recommends Benefiber. It dissolves in liquid and is tasteless, odorless and gritless. I put a tablespoonfull in my coffee every morning. Ask your doctor to see if he/she recommends the same. -
Anyone Been Allergic to the Realize Lap Band?
CheckYes replied to EmilyDanae's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I remember asking my surgeon this question. I was told that it wasn't possible for the body to reject the band because it is made of inert materials. I have the Allergan LapBand so I don't know if Realize is different or even if what I was told is correct. -
Lump in throat when I eat
CheckYes replied to Hydun2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm wondering if your surgeon put Fluid in your band at the time of surgery. If he did, perhaps it is a bit too much. It shouldn't hurt to eat. Give them a call and find out. If he did, ask to have some removed. best wishes. -
I was told no swimming/baths for six weeks. Your incisions need to fully heal or you risk serious infection.

Wrong decision?
CheckYes replied to kimmibjones1969's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think the fact that you are concerned about it is a good sign. Doesn't sound like you are going into it blind. Read as much as you can on these forums. I did that - even though I was scared - knowledge is key.
