Lynn Band 9/06 replied to ProsperNLose's topic in Insurance & Financing
Shay, If this doctor won't refer you maybe you can consider going to another doctor, with the meidical problems you have under your belt I am certain you will find a doctor that can help you. Good luck and keep trying. -
Hi everyone, The recipes that you are all posting have you tried them once you have been banded and have they been good for both in losing and in not getting stuck? Just curious? All the recipes sound so good. Willing to give them a try all at once. NOT Lynn :clap2:

Hi BrownEyes, My surgeon was in Brooklyn, his name is Dr. Jerzey Macura, but if you are interested in Manhattan there is Beth Israel Hospital, I think Dr. Goodman. But you can check. I am certain they have support groups as well. Good Luck. Lynn from Brooklyn , NY

Hi Everyone, I had surgery on September 25, 2006. The recovery went well. I am feeling great. I have already had 2 fills. One of my fills I got a minimal amount...my next one I received 1.44 cc and I am really starting to see and feel results. Love to hear from you all! :clap2:

When I first started to quit smoking, I was pulling my hair out. It does get easier. Here in New York, we have "PHONE SUPPORT GROUPS" I also used the patch which really helped. I said to my nutrcianist the other day, I think I would lose more weight if I started smoking again. But my hubby, said, "I won't let you start again, you are doing too many things for your health and quitting smoking is one of them" You can do it...Write me anytime you need support:rapture: LYNN

Hi Guys, I am from Brooklyn. I was banded 9/25/06. Nice to know, I have some locals I can speak with. Hopefully I can move around in here. I am not finding it that easy. Lynn

Hi, I had my surgery on September 25, 2006, but started planning around May, 2006. I quit smoking June 25, 2006. To tell you darn truth, I think about smoking all the time. It was something I went to after a meal, when I woke up, when I had a conversation. But honestly, I feel so much better that the surgeons said I had to quit before surgery. (23 CIGS PER DAY) Think about all the money you will save for the NEW CLOTHING you will have FOR THAT NEW SEXY BODY!!! YAY!

Thank you for replying to me. I need all the luck I can get. Wow all the way from Australia. Last evening about 2:20 AM my sugar fell very low, I had to have something to bring the sugar back up. This is positive, with the band, I have to reduce my insulin, but until we figure out what the correct dose will be, I am at wits end. So far, I have gotten sick from the band about 3 times with rice, grapes and bologna. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE! OH WELL. If you have any incentive or anything positive to keep me going I would love to hear it. Lynn from New York -
Hi Nellie, Are you speaking about Dr. Jerzey Macura? If so, I have used him, he is a wonderful doctor. Lynn
