I was banded last august and i just didn't think i was going to hurt. I had cover for my 2 young children for a couple of days but 2 weeks later my mum had moved in and i was still so sore much worse than having a baby. I am still in my post op pain everyday and i think it was a big mistake to have one put in. But i have read other replys and it has given me hope that i didnt make a mistake and 3 stone down the road i should be grateful i have had the chance to change my life for myself and my wonerful children. Good Luck keep going who knows i am sure i was just unlucky and you will beyour desired weight soon. God how depressing do i sound but i feel so alone i dont know anyone who hasbeen through this. It is so taboo in the uk still.

Hello All I am hoping some of you will be able to help me . I was banded august 2010 and ever since i woke up from the op i have had severe pain not only from the port which i seem to have everyday but on the other side as well. i am so fed up with pain pain pain. If i take pain killers i am so constipated that it takes a week and lots of laxatives to get anything through. Has anyone else had this roblem i have written to my surgeon to ask for it to be removed but he just wanted some tests done which i have done and self paid for to get some answers. My husband wants me to get it our and have my life back. What do i do. I feel i should never have had it done i should have just stopped eatin all the crap. Help Please

Hi ya just after some advice. I am now 14days post op and if i bend forward at all i am in pain from the port on the band. Is this normal or have they put it in the wrong place . Help Sarah

Thankyou for your response. I wil take it easy although i have a 3 and 5yr olds dropping stuff all the time . Sarah

Hello I had my lap band op o the 24th August and get the staples removed tomorrow. All going ok down by 12lbs already so starting to feel better already. Is there anyone out there who would like to chat am at home with little ones still on school holidays . Does it get easier !!!!!!!!
