  1. hey just wanted to let u know that the endoscopy was a breeze just like u said dave. I felt no pain, no uncomfortableness and it was quick and easy. The only issue I had was that I had a migrane so in general I felt crappy. the dr however allowed me to take tylenol to ease the migrane so that was good. :blushing:

  2. Hiii everyone! I havent recieved my date yet but im hoping to have my date in november. I have all my clearances except for the endoscopy, nutritional and psychological consult which is this thursday. so hopefully Ill get my date soon. I too have been getting grief about doing the surgery before the holidays, they keep saying i should eat up and start with the new year but id rather start now. Being thin is more important to me that pumpkin pie lol

good luck everyone and keep in touch

btw topazzz im using dr garber in LI who are you using?

  3. hey guys i totally understand your feelings. when i told my aunt that i was having the surgery she told me she was so happy for me cause she knows all i want is to get married and have a family and I will never find a man being heavy. she told me i have a beautiful face but no man will look at me as something more as a friend until i lose the weight. i personally dont agree with her but it still hurts to hear.

  4. just saying hi....Ive already been to the seminar and I have an appt with my surgeon on the 23rd....I dont have to wait 6 mths luckily and I already started some of my tests (bloodwork, sleep test etc) I am so excited I wish I could have the surgery tomorrow. Weight has been a big issue with me my whole life both mentally and physically and I cannot wait to change. so yea thats it...yay

where do u get the counters that measure ure weight loss?

  5. so I am nervous, When I went to the seminar my BMI was 40.2, today I went to my PCP for my first weigh in for the 6 onth diet and I lost 2 pounds somehow. Now my BMI is 39.8. Is this going to make me uninsurable? Im so scared, can I gain weight for the next weighin? I heard if U gain the insurance will turn u down also.

I read alot of these sites and they say u must have a BMI of 40 so I just make it. I see alot of u had lower BMI's so maybe there is hope for me. Please if any of u have advice Id appreciate it.
