I am scheduled for Lap Band surgery on September 3, 2010. I have been overweight most of my adult life and want / need to lose weight to feel better about myself and be healthier. I have tried to lose weight many times. At times I would take off a few pounds but after time I would put it back on. I would feel frustrated because of the remainder of the weight that I had to take off. I have tried fad diets, weight loss meetings, weight loss drinks, counting carbs or cals or even skipping meals. Some worked but it was hard to use these methods long term. I never was satisfied and always hungry. I heard about the Lap Band and feel this is right for my situation. I love to cook and love to eat what I cook or what anyone else cooks..I have gone to 5 months of nutritional group classes and am learning how to cook more healthy foods that taste as good or sometimes better than the unhealthy foods that I was used to cooking. Please wish me luck in my journey to a healthier me...I know I can do this, for myself and my family.
