I wondered the same thing. I am using 3.5 for walking and between 4.5 and 5 for jogging.

Pollywogg- You can do it if you set your mind to it!!!

sndycnrd - Good luck on your next race. I signed up for another race in 2 weeks. The lady I met is running it and she says I should improve my time because it is paved and mostly flat. The course yesterday was gravel.

Congratulations on your success!!! -
Ran my first 5k this morning. Met an lady before the race and paced myself with her. Finished in 41:33. Ready to improve time!!

Amy, a few questions since I have never been to a local 5k, only HS CC. What did you wear and did you take water with you on the run? Did you start with runners or walkers?
-
Great job Amy!!!! My first 5k is Saturday. I am only on week 3 but I signed up to keep myself motivated. I would like to sign up for another one in November but I can't find any advertised yet. I will let you know how I do. My goal is 45 minutes. We shall see!!!

hbrhonda - Go for it and see how your body handles it. I would have never dreamed of running 1 minute, let alone 30! I am only on week 2 but I AM going to do this:thumbup:

Anyone and their spouse both banded?
brooklynbrenden replied to Dawn's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My husband and I are both banded. We were banded 18 months apart because we were self pay and couldn't do both at the same time. I think that it will benefit your daughter because you will have healthier food choices in the house. We are working through that now. I hope that it teaches both of my children to make better choices. -
Posting again to see if I added the ticker!

I use my iphone and haven't purchase a holder. I put my headphones under my shirt and stick the phone in my pocket. You don't need to do anything with your phone during the run once you get started. I finished W1D2 today. Was much better than last time. Still need to work on my breathing.

Congratulations. Keep up the good work!!! It will be no time before you are in onderland!!!!

I started W1D1 this morning. I wanted to join the thread to stay motivated.

I was banded 7/26/10 as well. I have some port pain when active. Not too much otherwise. Really scared me at first but after reading the forums it seems to be normal.
