symptoms of Esophagus dialation or band slippage

Carla - If it hasn't cleared by morning, I would call your doctors office, they will probably want to see you. -
Congrats on the weight loss! Also, about your question a few days ago about the fill, I had surgery about 18 months ago and there are some days that I can't get anything down in the morning except water, and then there are days that I am actually hungry in the morning. My doctor told me that your band should be tight right after the fill but I usually feel the difference 2-3 days after the fill, so I guess it is different for everyone. Have a great trip!!

366-Congrats on a first great few weeks. It really does get much easier and Dr. Irgau's office is great, but be prepared to wait when you go in for a regular fill. It normally takes me about 1 to 1 1/2 hours to get back there for the fill and then the fill takes about 5 minutes. But besides the waiting the office is good, and the docs are all nice. Good luck going back to work!!

I have absolutely felt that way after a fill, aren't you supposed to be less hungry?? Mine always gets better the next day, in the morning, I reallys start to feel it. I am always tighter in the morning than I am at night, is anyone else like that? Annie - Congrats on 150!! That is amazing....you should be really proud of yourself. Nat - 16, not 16W way too go!! Regular size people clothes, you rock! Anyway, couldn't get on this morning and panicked, thought maybe work blocked the address, thank god they didn't wouldn't be able to make it through the day without the LBT love!!

I agree, Brandi got me tracking my food on FitDay, and explained some of the stranger things my body was doing first few months! Nat - There are some bodybugg armband devices on E-bay, you may be able to get one there for less.

Nikki - Congrats on the baby, what an exciting time. Read the posts alot, don't get on here as much as I should, when I start to feel like this is an uphill battle that I am facing alone, it always helps to get read the last few pages and realize that there are so many people that are going through the same changed and crap that I am!

I actually had the same thing happen this weekend and had to get my band unfilled! They took out all the fluid because I was choking on the food and couldn't get anything down, it was making me gag and I had to cough it up. I feel so much better now, but a little frustrated that I lost all the fluid.

Kirsten - I have also hit a plateau and it is very frustrating with all the work you put into it and not getting the results that you want. I was banded 12/6/06 and I have stopped for about 2 weeks also. I saw my surgeon yesterday and he told me that 1/2 lb to 1 lb a week was normal. Not at all what I wanted to hear!! My goal is more like 2 lbs a week. He did tell me that since I was in good physical health that I should be exercising 5-6 days a week and doing that will make the weight come off quicker. Of course I already knew that, but hearing it made me more determined that I need to get re-focused again on this and lower my calories to about 800-1000 a day and get back to exercising.

Hello Ladies - I'm just back from being sick for the past week so catching up on all the posts. B-man - You are one hot momma! You can definetly tell in your face that you lost a ton on weight. Nat - I'm sure the Lord appreciated you getting all dolled up for him, hope it goes well with the new man. Sounds like you are handling it well. I get my next fill on Thursday and I need it. I can eat about 2 cups of food and not feel too full. He only put 1 cc in last time so I am asking for a lot more this time!

Brandi - Congrats on the weight loss, that is incredible. What you said about eating too fast and not chewing enough is exactly how I feel when I eat too quickly when I start eating. Thanks for all that great info.

I really don't think that it is sarcasm, just a really limited view of the world, coming from a really small minded person.

WOW Tired OLD Man!!! -- Shouldn't you be posting your comments on a White Supremacist website instead of one for WLS patients! IT has to be hard being so angry all the time!!

Nat - Please tell me it will stop snowing soon in MI, I have to be there in a few days for work and do not feel like dealing with the snow!! I went to a local support group the other night and I have to tell you, this forum is so much better than sitting in a group of people listening to someone that had gastric bypass, I can't really relate to someone that lost 60 lbs in 2 months. Although I am jealous as hell! I felt like I was at a AA meeting (never been to one), but we had to say what type of surgery we had and when, some people talked about how much weight they had lost. Not really feeling that type of support, I am much more comfortable being able to say online what I want and not sit in a room of 40 people. This support system has been the best for me, thanks to everyone. Even though I don't post very often I read them almost every day at work and it keep me going when I want to get a candy bar out of the vending machine that is 10 feet from my office!!!
