Suzy - I had mine done on the 6th also and woke up feeling really "off" this morning. THinking, what the hell did I do? But then I got on the scale and had a protein drink and felt better. You did the right thing!!

My ins. approval came through 5 minutes before my surgery time. The best thing I learned on the website was to get copies of every test, result, and clearance that a doctor will send to your ins. company or surgeon. I did and it really helped getting everything through even lastg minute. It also is good to have for your records.

Hello - I am also 5 days out and not hungry at all. I'm not sure if it is gas pains or just adjusting to the amount of food I was eating before. I need to remember to eat each day. Never thought I would have that problem, that I need to remember to eat. I have lost about 7 lbs since my surgery on Wednesday, but I have no idea what is normal. Some days are better than others, but I have never been in pain, just discomfort, and the walking is the key to feeling better. I have been walking each day on my treadmill slowly and it has really helped me with the gas pains. This website has been so helpful to me, thank you so much for all posting so much information. Whenever I have a question or need to just touch base with what I'vs just committed to, I log in.

Hello - I had my surgery on Wednesday and I am back home today. How is everyone that had it this week doing. I am a little sore, but feeling pretty good. I am anxious to start my full liquid diet tomorrow, and have somthing that actually tastes good. It is really funny how different doctors give different diets for the first 4 weeks.

Hello - I am having surgery this afternoon at 4pm. I have been on the liquid diet for 4 days and will be really happy to not feel hungry. I am actually waiting for the insurance company to give me final approval by noon today. Has anyone else had any issues with waiting on last minute insurance apporval?

It is so great to get meet other people getting banded in December, my surgery date is 12/6/06, 2 days. I am on the Clear liquids for few days and I am really hungry. Usually when I get anxious I eat, but since I can't I am realizing that it will be like this for the rest of my life. I am very nervous but excited at the same time about this phase of my life!

I feel the same way, I am having surgery on Wednesday and the liquid diet is killing me! I am tired of broth and popsicles! But I know that we will be better off sticking to the preo-op diet, good luck!! :help:
