This feels like the longest morning of my life and it just started......... Today my dad is finding out if he gets approved to cosign on my loan.....(Happy thoughts) .. I've hit soooo many bumps in the road trying to start my journey and this is kinda my last hope right now ... Not sure what else to do!!!!..... I just pray that I get good news today!... Ive already met with the surgeon and took the pre-op class.. I just have the dietician and psych. to see but im waiting to set up those appointments till I know for sure that I got the loan!!!... HAPPY HAPPY THOUGHTS!!!!!!!!!:laugh:

I have my first appt to meet with the surgeon on September 30th. Im so excited to get started.. Makes me one step closer to my dream goal!!! My mom is actually doing this along with me.. her appt with the surgeon is today.. so she can let me know what to expect next week... luckily for her.. her insurance covers the Lap-Band.. but as for me .. ive tried everything to find a way to get it covered.. my insurance wont cover it... and I cant find a company to take coverage out for it... my fiance said that if his insurance covers it hed marry me in heart beat!.. but his also doesnt cover it ... sooo after jumping through hurdle after hurdle.... My dad is going to co-sign on a loan for me ..... he said he will do everything in his power to help .... I love Him!!!.... Im soooo thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbup:

Good Luck! I hope everything works out in your favor! I too was self-pay because my insurance is lame, lol. However, I feel extremely grateful that I am self pay, I guess my mentality is like: "I won't f* this up because I payed x amount of dollars"! Keep me posted -

Thanks!!... Ive been working hard on finding the best way to have surgey. My insurance wont cover it, so now im getting a loan for self-pay im trying to do this quickly so I dont have to wait any longer!... I just turned in my paper work, so now im waiting to hear back from the sugeron... praying everything goes smoothly!!... Kylie

Self-pay costs of different surgeons.....
