  1. Ok I had my surgery 9/2/10 and to date have lost 40 lbs. I have had back surgery since and haven't been able to exercise but anyway I don't feel like 40 lbs is good in 1 year. Maybe I'm feeling sorry for myself or something, Trying real hard to stay with the 1 cup but not always successful. Just needed to vent a little. I guess it's better than gaining. Thanks for listening.

    Feeling like a failure

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words and modivation I needed. I will move forward from this point and hope for the best. Thanks again.
  3. Today I had my 3 fill and forgot to ask and Dr. didn't mention, but how much should I be eating know? Am I still doing 1 cup or should it be like 1/2 cup? Please let me know your experience. Thanks
  4. I had my surgery 9/2/10. Did great, I have lost 28 lbs. I have had 2 fills. Went couple weeks ago to get another and Dr. wouldn't do it. He said he didn't think I couldn't tolerate it and I had lost only 2 lbs. I did have trouble after the 2nd fill with things getting stuck. Had to really slow down and chew very well. Any way I have started to exercise a little. He wants me to exercise 45 min. 5 days a week. I am only eating my 1 cup. My tipical day - protein drink, yogurt, soup, cheese, chicken. Can someone give me some ideas on what I should do to get this moving again. Needing help/ideas. Thanks
  5. I feel the same way. I had first fill 10/19 and next one 12/2. I need more restriction as well. Good luck.
  6. Ok I had my first fill yesterday. 8ml. I sure hope this gives me some restriction because I really didn't have any. Let me know your feedback. I have lost 15.5lbs but really wanting to move along. Thanks
  7. Hi, I was banded on 9/2/10. I am down 15.5 lbs. I am sooo ready for my first fill. All healed and first fill scheduled for 10/19. I can't wait. I feel I can eat anything and really needing the restriction. I still haven't eaten anything I shouldn't, just don't want to push it. The 19th can't get here quick enough.
  8. Ok, had my surgery on 9/2. Came to thinking what have I done. Went home the next day with only sore from incision's. Able to eat and when I got up on Sunday morning, had vertigo soooo bad. Couldn't get out of bed, proped up on pillows to eat grits and ended up puking all up. I now know not to lay sideways to eat. Vertigo is doing some better but not completely gone. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how long did it last? Also, don't think I'm getting enough protein in at every meal. Any suggestions, I would appreciate. Now that few days have passed, don't think this was a bad idea at all. I know I will feel better with time. Thanks
  9. Went to surgeon on Friday 8/27/10 for pre op appt. Didn't say anything about losing weight before. My surgery is scheduled for 9/2/10. Can't wait, excited and nerveous. Want to start the new chapter in my life.
  10. I am all for that. I go Thursday for my diet class and pre op test and I know I will need help.
  11. I am scheduled for surgery 9/2/10. I am excited and nervous and needed your story sooooo much. Thanks for sharing and I hope I can do as well as you have.
  12. I have been through all the clearance's and have pre admit testing and diet class on 8/19/10. Meet with Dr. on 8/27/10 and surgery on 9/2/10. I am both excited and nerveous. I have been reading about everyone's experience and hope mine goes as well as some of yours. I'm not sure about the diet before and after surgery but sure I will learn about it Thursday. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
