WOW...maybe something wrong with mine.....I got banded in Dec...1st fill 2 CC's....2nd fill 1 more CC 3rd fill 1/2 CC at 3.5 CC's had bad heartburn took 2 CC'sl out for 3 weeks.....Got 1 CC Fill...was good for 1 month...had heartburn again....took all out for 7 weeks and treated me for esophogitis ...went back and stomach would only handle 1 CC. Lost total 80 lbs total since December.....30 since last fill in June on 1 CC.....I really dont eat much.....do I have a weak stomach or sound funny?

Okay... I have a call into the Doctor's office but its Kaiser and they kinda stink!! Anyhow....got banded dec 09' had issues in April with left upper side pain toward back from an inflamed esopogus they did Barium test and determined that I had esopogitis and that was causing spasam and horrid heartburn. So I took medicine and prilosec ever since and went away. This is not a spasam either....its a dull constant pain for the past 5 days now. Ive had similar pain which would come go if ate something back or band just irritated but always went away never constant. I notice pain is worse when I eat which I cant keep food down right now. I throw up just about everything. I can handle liquid and thats it. I feel constipated too so could be gas or more severe is what I think. My 2nd symptom that concerns me is that I go to sleep at night and I wake up in middle of night choking on GERD. Talk about nasty and scary!! This happens at least once a week for past month. I stopped eating late at night...and still happens. And if I dont wake up choking the first thing I do in AM is puke out gross acid or food that I ate the day before around lunch time. Its as if food is stuck in there and hasn't passed the band yet I can drink any type liquid and pass.....Weird? I fear slippage, blockage, erosion....I wish I had my own damn ultra sound machine at home! LOL

I got banded in Dec....I had issued in April....I was in ER twice and the ER knows NOTHING about BAND!!! I couln't keep food down and had WORST heartburn ever and stabbing pains on left middle side towards back. ER thought was a kideny stone. The pain was a spasam and felt like labor pains that would be a constant 4 grade pain and then shoot up to 10's AWFUL!!! Turns out was esophogitis from years of acid reflux was my diagnosis....which ultimately caused an ulcer in esophogus. The band probably weakened my esophogus more that I wasn't the best candidate is what I was told....so I am on prilosec non stop and can't eact anything spicy or mild even. I got better....but now August Ive started having issues again....time go back

Go back to the doctor. My friends mom just had to have her band removed and part of her stomach. The specialist at hospital said left shoulder pain is FIRST sign of Band Erosion. You have only had for small amount of time but still that is scary!!!
