I started to become interested in lap band in after one of my friends had the surgery and was very successrful at it! I started researching in the summer of 2010 and agreed that it would be a great tool for me! I had my first dr. consultation in August of 2010 and my Surgery is October. 29th 2010. I have really great insurance so getting it approved was not a problem as long as I met their criteria which I had. I also had to complete a psych and a nutrition consultation which I am glad I did because both of those doctors feel I am 100% ready for this HUGE life change. I was a bit nervous because I am so young but everyone that I have talked to said that they " WISHED THEY WOULD HAVE DONE IT SOONER." I feel there is no better time for me than to do it now because I am young and ready to have the best life I can.
