  5. How do you know when you need a fill? I got 5.5cc in my first fill 2 weeks ago, so I'm guessing longer than most people.. when I stop losing weight? He didn't say anything when I left the office. Yea, I'm going to start weighing daily so I'm more accountable. I saw that in a magazine yesterday and I like that idea.

    What's with all the burping?

I still burp 2 months out, but it's not that extreme, usually after I eat. I could totally win a burping contest now hahaha. and yea the blow up your tummy during laparoscopic surgery hence the air.
  8. Yea people fail for lots of reasons. #1 they think the band will physically stop them from eating and will do the work for them, which is not true, it's up to you what you put in your mouth. Also eating the wrong foods, eating too often (grazing), eating slider foods (things that don't keep you full), having liquid calories. It's not a diet, this is your new life, it's really not that hard, but you have to follow the rules. It's basically the skinny life, skinny people eat less food, eat better food and exercise.

Dizzy during post op liquid diet?

Yea more fluid and make sure you are having more than 60g of protein.

    How Did I Gain??? UGG!!!

Yea eat real food! This isn't a diet, you gotta eat this way forever. Make sure it's good I know occasionally things happen and you can't. But I try to have a regular, nutritious, protein rich breakfast, lunch and dinner every day.

    Recently Banded

Well for me I had 7 days of liquids, 10 days of pureed, 10 days of soft, then real food. But every doctor is different, you wanna make sure the swelling is down by the time you get to real food. Just hang in there, the first month is hard, but then it gets much easier

    Can Still Barely Swallow

Yea, after surgery it was hard to get lots of liquids down, you are swollen for a few weeks. I wouldn't worry just yet, and WALK WALK WALK that helps the gas
  14. It doesn't agree with some people. If it was making her sick, I would suggest trying something else is what I meant.

What do you do to exercise?

I walk around my neighborhood, or I like to take hikes in the canyons or i do about 45 minutes on the treadmill or exercise bike. I need to start doing some weights! And try some classes.

    Hero worship...

Haha I haven't, but my surgeon is pretty cute too I don't think there is anything wrong, unless it's interfering with your life.

    How Did I Gain??? UGG!!!

Yea, a serving of nuts, 1oz is 150 or so calories. A cup is 8oz.... what helps me I buy those 100 calorie packs of nuts Also I would eat real food.. chicken, veggies... what you ate isn't very nutritious.. All you ate all day is nuts and an atkins bar? Haha.

    Newly Banded. Any regrets?

You eat more than that. You get about a 1 1-1/2 food per meal in the long run. I don't feel deprived at all. It sounds way worse than it actually is. I thought I'd be eating 1/4 cup of tuna for my meals for ever, but thats just not the case. I feel very normal. I eat normal food, I can eat at a restaurant, I just eat slower, i eat less, and watch what goes in.

    Newly Banded. Any regrets?

I can't speak for everyone, but for me. So far, I really enjoy it. Nothing gets stuck, I'm losing weight. I'm not hungry. It's only been about 2 months, but I feel great. I feel like I NEED to do this, I can't be overweight the rest of my life!! The first few weeks are hard but once you are on regular food it feels much more normal
  20. I'm at 5.5, I can get anything down.. hmm. Can you not eat like steak and bread? Cause you aren't supposed to really eat that anyways. I'd be worried if you can't get down small bites of chicken and veggies down, a regular bander meal. I'd talk to your doctor and tell him what's up.
  21. HeatherinCA

    Starving!!!

Yes have more!! or see what shakes you are drinking, maybe pick one w/ more calories or something? Ask your doctor.. I was aloud it was clear liquids and protein shakes. No shakes have no milk protein in it.
  22. HeatherinCA

    I had my first fill

You should be able to drink as much as you want.. food you gotta physically limit. Also you make sure you aren't drinking while you are eating correct?
  23. I don't right now, out of my budget, but i had one in the past, it was about $90+ a session, personalized, at a private gym or she would take me hiking things like that, not the $30 dude at 24 hour fitness or anything. Towards the end I went one or two days a week, it's fine if you can commit to doing the cardio on your own on the other days.
