I was always a big boned thin person all my life, until, I graduated high school and joined the real world, with jobs and school my diet and excersise went out the window. After a few years, I noticed that I had gained about 50 lbs. then I meet my now husband, and a few more years went by, and him being in Iraq twice and then my Mom was brutally murdered, and I turned to food to fill those voids. 7years after High School, and i realized that I was carrying an extra 145lbs. I was the biggest I had ever been in my life. I was unhappy, scared, afraid to be vulnerable with my husband. Who was this woman looking back at me in the mirror, because I sure didnt know who she was?
That is when I took my life back, and decided to re-visit the LAPBAND. I had researched it years earlier, but was unsuccessful because my insurance didnt cover the surgery, so I gave up on that idea. I went to my Primary Doctor (who by the way is gorgeous), and it was extremely intimidating to talk to him about it, because I was slightly attracted to him! That is when he informed me that TriCare now covered the LapBand Procedure. I was elated. That day I scheduled my consultation for the procedure, and the rest is history. I will be having my surgery in a few short day! (August 11, 2010)
