Sounds like you're suffering from head hunger. Drink more Water. I know for me when I am craving food when I am not supposed to be hungry, I flood my stomach with 8-10 ounces of water to make it feel full and the feel usually goes away. Stay strong!! In the end all the pain and sacrifice will be worth it.

Panic before pre op liquid diet.
SalOdyssey replied to Megall9's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
EVERYONE gets nervous about the road ahead. It's totally normal to feel nervous too. My coping on my failed first go around was just thinking constantly it will all be worth it in the end. I'll finally be able to do the things I was robbed from doing. Stay strong!! -
Anyone keep the surgery under wraps?
SalOdyssey replied to mirVSG's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went publicly with close friends and family, then to everyone I know on my private FB, and then full publicly with my own blog page on FB (search link in signature below). The support has been beyond overwhelming and supportive. Friends, family and strangers cheering me on from all corners of the world. It's super empowering to know that, that many people want to see you succeed. Hopefully my 2nd attempt at surgery will come in late May, early-mid June. I have one more nutritionist consult on May 10th and then it should be go time. You have to feel comfortable with going public, but what I can say is that it's very motivating and empowering. At least for me it has been and continues to be. Best of luck to you all!! -

Pre-Op Liquid Diet... Does it get easier?
SalOdyssey replied to B_D's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes it does get better. For me days 2-4 were the worst. Evening of day 4 I started to feel better and then it was pretty smooth sailing from there. Best of luck!! -

What are you looking forward to?
SalOdyssey replied to aprilnicole's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Looking forward to....That's hard to answer. Normal clothes. Riding a bike. Enjoying life more. Dating, marriage, family. Just feeling normal again. -
I will hopefully know more this coming week. Same here. Was told if I met the requirements she's wake me up and put the CPAP mask on. She never came. Yeah she never came in to put the CPAP mask on me, so I am hoping it is good news. No second study at the moment is scheduled. Thank you @joslek1988. Thanks for the feedback. She gave me the perimeters for what would require her fitting me with the CPAP mask during the night. It is my takeaway that I did not fall into those requirements. Guess I will find out this week. Thank you! Thank you everyone for the feedback. Hopefully I'll know the results this week at some point.

Hello all, I am doing my second go at weight loss surgery. You can see what happened at the first attempt here: http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/355098-surgery-aborted-please-help/. So I had my sleep study this week and apparently I never hit the parameters for having the CPAP machine put on me in the middle of the night. Will that likely mean I would need a CPAP machine? Or will I be able to go forward without? Dr won't get the results till next week at some point. Interested in your feedback!! Thanks! Follow my weight loss on Facebook. See signature line below.

Anyone else able to assist?

It was written for a split night study with CPAP study if indicated. Also, I don't have any of the symptoms for sleep apnea.

Would love to see a pic!

Speaking of this I was thinking about getting my starting weight tattooed in roman numerals somewhere on my wrist area. To let it be a constant reminder of a place I never want to be again.
-
Interested in the same.

I'm sorry @@Wendi1988 but I laughed at that. I've never heard someone refer to their family smelling onion-y.

To tell or not to tell?
SalOdyssey replied to ready2bloom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been very vocal about my weight loss journey. Hell I even started a public Facebook page about it (see signature bar below). I had lots of hesitations about going public. Didn't know if I'd have my family and friends support. But when I told everyone, the support was beyond anything I could've thought about. Everyone in my private life, and publicly has been super supportive of me. And frankly, without them I don't know if I could've gotten this far. There will ALWAYS be doubters and haters, but NEVER let them stop you on your road to success (whatever you define that as). Frankly, it's best to cut those non-supporters out of your life, even family. I was fortunate, that I didn't have to do that. Not everyone is that fortunate. Think long and hard @@ready2bloom and then if or when you want to tell or not, you live with that decision. You and only you have to be comfortable with whatever path you choose. Best of luck to you!!
