I have the sleeve, but I feel your pain. It's a new day, start it right and resolve to stick to your path.

I Want Chinese Food!

I know you said you don't care for the Soup, but my fAvorite thing is to order the wonton soup, minus the wonton, so it's just broth with some green onions and an extra plate. Then i sample a bite or two of whatever my husband or daughter is having. The portions are way too big at our favorite place, even when we go during lunch. Last week I had pork with vegetables(made spicy) and a bite or two of lo mein. Susan -
Acetaminophen is Tylenol. Not an NSAID. Your surgeon is the final authority, but that doesn't sound like an NSAID to me. Susan http://www.vicodin.com/ contain two different ingredients: hydrocodone (an opioid pain medicine) and acetaminophen (a non-aspirin pain ... These drugs can cause breathing problems at high doses or in sensitive patients.

Can plastic surgery accelerate weight loss?
HappygoSusan replied to IcanMakeit's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I was very nervous before my abdominalplasty, much more so than with my sleeve, but I am thrilled with the results. Recovery was pain free. The only negative was the drain tubes. They didn't hurt but I hated dealing with them. Susan -

Can plastic surgery accelerate weight loss?
HappygoSusan replied to IcanMakeit's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I lost another 10 pounds or so after my tummy tuck. Both my doctor and I were happy with my pre tummy tuck weight, but I have to say, I'm loving the weight in which my body has settled. Susan. -

@@proudgrammy I knew about the "@" thing, but I don't see a member notification on my ap. it doesn't look like the "@" thing is working here, since your name didn't change colors. Susan

I am nearing my two year mark, and am constantly thinking about whether or not I will be one that starts to regain. Life is getting stressful right now. My husband is deploying for a year. I am facing a move in six months, just me and my teenage daughter, so that I can set up house for all of us. Yesterday my response was to forget to put on my Fitbit, so when noon came around and I realized, I decided I'd never get my 10k steps in, so I didn't even try. Top that with poor food choices and constant snacking and I am afraid I am condemning myself to realizing that weight regain fate. Here's to better choices today. Susan

Yesterday was a rough day for me
HappygoSusan replied to HappygoSusan's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
Thanks for the encouragement. Today was better. Got in my 10K steps and a few extra. I also met my protein goals and while doing that made much better food choices. It is great to get input from folks that completely understand! Susan -

156.8 Back up. Maybe I'm not suppose to weigh 155. Susan

Good for you Kim. The first step is the hardest. I have suffered from depression and I know too well that sometimes just making the phone call can be overwhelming You've got this. Plus all off our support!

It's not unrealistic to be in single digit sizing. I'm 6' and can wear most anything in a size 8, and some jeans and pants in a 6. Susan

My weight loss was just a series of stalls! It seemed like I would never get to goal! Guess what? I did reach my goal and am maintaining. The process works, just give it time. Stay away from the scales, they will make you crazy. Susan

Does Anyone Only Weigh Monthly?
HappygoSusan replied to mnmlst's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like an excellent plan! As long as you're following your doctor's plan, you will lose whether your monitoring daily or not! I'm at goal, and try to weigh weekly, just to make sure no weight is keeping on. Especially this time of the year! Susan -
I had a tummy tuck about 15 months post op. I also had a thigh lift at the same time. I needed no pain medication after I left the hospital. I love my tummy tuck. Post surgery I lost another 10 pounds. It makes all the difference in how clothes fit and look. Recovery was a breeze. I highly recommend one, especially if your insurance is covering it. If you were asking about a thigh lift, I would not be as encouraging. It took a full six weeks for me to be able to sit comfortably, my incisions started at groin and curved around my buttocks. I am not as thrilled with those results and still don't feel comfortable wearing anything that exposes my thighs. Susan
