My after pics will be at least a week away. I'm in compression pants until told otherwise by surgeon. -
Scars from lap band & a Tummy Tuck

I think separately is the way to go. The tummy tuck was as I expected after talking to others in my WL group, ouchy day one but I don't notice it much today. The pain in either site has not been above a three. I thought I wanted breast augmentation but this thigh lift has put me off surgery for a while. I wish you luck with both. I'm certain you won't be as concerned with your scar when it is surrounded by flat, taught belly. -
Getting this tightened up!

I survived. Hopefully will be out of compression pants and able to post pics soon. With the way I'm feeling today, This is my last plastic surgery. Tummy tuck is a breeze but I'm hating dealing with the aftermath of a thigh lift. Stitches under my buttocks make it impossible to sit on the toilet. It has been an ordeal going to the bathroom since my catheter came out. Just keep reminding myself how miserable I was with all the loose skin and that it will be worth it. -
Scars from lap band & a Tummy Tuck

I'm two days post op. Tummy tuck is a breeze compared to my thigh lift. There was a lot of stuff removed from my buttocks. And in my case, my port scar is completely gone. I still have a few of the little scars at the top of my stomach , but those are very faint. Here's my before. You can see how weird my belly button was with that port scar running into it. -

At every post sleeve check up with my surgeon, when asked about skin issues (both the surgeon and his PA always asked) I would describe any and all problems I was having. -
Scars from lap band & a Tummy Tuck

I can let you know in a week. I had my lap band removed a few years ago. Sleeve was done February 2013. The port scar is the worse ! Two inches long and seems to run into my belly button, making my belly button look droopy. When I spoke to the surgeon, he thought it would be removed with the tummy tuck. I am having a tummy tuck and thigh lift next Tuesday I hope that scar will be removed as well as a few stretch marks. -
--- Anything we say to our daughters sounds like criticism to them. They learn from watching us. We didn't end up overweight because we have a healthy relationship with food. Don't project your food issues on to her. Over the years I have watched my child eat like a horse when she is going through growth spurts and then pick at food at other times. I don't believe that tough love should apply to eating. My daughter is 13. I have never restricted how much she eats. I do restrict what she eats. No soda, unless we are eating out. And only the child size drink. No refills. I make sure there is fruit and vegetable for her to snack on. I pack her lunch for school. I would never tell her she has to "diet" I don't think she eats as healthy as she should, but I don't want to plant the idea that she should obsess over food like I do. Since I don't think it's healthy for kids to diet, I sign her up for sports classes and take her to the events. She swims twice a week for at least an hour. Right now, she eats as much as she wants and doesn't gain weight. I know this will change as she gets older, so I'm trying to instill the habit of exercise. Food should not be a battle, it is nutrition. Find an activity your daughter enjoys and encourage her to exercise.

I Can't Wait To Not Have To...
HappygoSusan replied to BrickHouse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I cannot wait to take a bath and NOT have to maneuver my way out by first getting up to the edge, sit, rest...now find a good handgrip, try to stand, reposition, try again, then, finally get an angle and handgrip that lets me stand. -
