    Any September 2010 Banders?

Hi angelfizz Can't wait! I'm a bit nervous about afterwards but am convinced I've made the right decision. My aunt is coming with me, she's only 8 years older than me - more like a big sister but skinny!! I'd love to keep in touch - you'll be one week ahead of me and a pro by the time I go in next week. Good luck for Friday - hope everything goes well and here's to a slim, healthy future Shaz x

Hi Slinky. I can't wait although I am a bit nervous about how I will cope afterwards. I have been eating all my fav foods and saying this is my last chinese, indian, pizza etc. The kids are now suggesting "lasts" for me depending on what they fancy for tea. What are the rules for hospital visiting in Belgium? I am going over with my aunt. Will she come to the hospital with me in the morning or is she restricted to set times? I was hoping that someone else from the forum would be over for an op on the same day as me but no luck so far. I hope someone else speaks English. Shaz

Well done to everyone who is still losing or maintaining a weight loss. In less than 2 weeks I will be joining you as a fully fledged bandster and hopefully reporting weightloss along with all of you.I have kept my op pretty quiet, only immediate family, my boss and my best friend know that I am having it but in the last week, everyone seems to want to feed me up! I have been out for dinner constantly and have now given myself another 5lbs to lose - nightmare! I should be on a low fat pre op diet by now but am failing miserably. I am pretty good between meals out but still have 2 dinners to go with work before my op on the 10 September. Goodness only knows how I will deal with these afterwards! I hope that the pre op diet is not too crucial. Has anyone else had a disasterous pre op diet and does it make the op more difficult? Shaz

Hi again - less than 4 weeks now till my op and I'm following the chat very closely. If you have a fill and it's too much and you need some fluid removed, where do you go? I guess you can't always wait till Dr Chris and Frederik are in UK?

Hi I notice that most people talk about drinking water the day after the op. Can we have tea/coffee? I have my nieces wedding 2 weeks after my op so I hope my stomach is not too swollen. Does Frederik normally answer emails quickly? I emailed him on Friday and still haven't heard back. Are you better to phone. exactly 1 month till my op - can't wait!

Hi, firsts a big thanks, reading the pages on this site gave me the motivation to take the plunge and book my place with Dr Chris on 10 September. My heart was racing when I clicked send and the deposit was paid! No going back now. Has anyone travelled from Charleroi airport to the hotel? I have email Frederik but he hasn't got back to me yet. Another question, I have read about the drain but on another forum, they talked about a catheter, does everyone need one? Anyone else going the same day as me? Sharon x
