Seagulls, Cats And No Holes Left...

well, first all of you are lucky that you could have solid foods by day ten.. I wasn't allow solid foods until I was 4 weeks post op.. i had to be on Clear liquids for the first week, second week creamy liquids.. I do know the creamy mashed potatoes are the BEST thing in the world when you are coming off chicken broth.. blah.. I can't even eat Jello because of it.. or applesauce.. then week 3 was mushies.. i lived on cottage cheese, yogurt, tuna salad and chicken salad during this time period.. then came week four baked chicken and soft foods.. it just shows how each doctor is different.. you will learn what you can and can't eat it changes with each fill. because I was able to eat salad at one point then couldn't and i tried last night with no problems.. H owever you will learn once you have a fill stress makes you unable to eat anything somedays you might not even be able to drink.. So, be carefull.. Welcome to the bandworld.. You did but an interesting view of the story.. Thanks for sharing..

Post Lap Band Surgery Op Pain

Unforunately what you are experincing is normal. There are going to be days after you are months post op that your port is going to hurt. You can laugh on minute and make your port hurt. It takes your body up to 6 weeks or longer to heal. Just take it one day at a time. I was in HELL for the first ten days I am one of those individuals who get with because of the anesthia. Once I removed the patch behind my ear it was horrible. I got motion sickness from riding in teh car. I am going to say even with that. and having my stoma because stuck with food. I would do this all over again. I wish I would have done this sooner.. I promise its soo freaking worth it later down the road. just concentrate on healing..
  4. First of all banster hell will last longer than up to your first fill. majority of the time the first fill doesn't even help. You can suffer from bandster hell until about your fourth to eighth fill depending on you. once you transition between liquids to solid you are probably going to stay teh same. or not lose. don't let that get you discourage. its too early on to allow your brain to get in the way of things. I have been banded for ten months. I am getting to my green zone or sweet spot. I have had six fills and one unfill. So, each person is different and you shouldn't go by what others say. try to walk for a hour a day if possible. you are also going to stay swollen for several weeks maybe in a couple of months.. try to stay away from breads, pastas and rice. also watch your salt intake.. also remember to drink 64 ounces of water.. even crystal like will work.. add lemons to your water.

Finding A New Lap Band Fill Doctor Close To Home

I guess you could search for doctors in your area via lapband.com or here. However, I know many people that travel three hours or more to go to their doctors. I wouldn't feel comfortable with just anyone. I don't understand why your insurance would cover it in Florida but not in Maryland where you live??

To Fill Or Not To Fill My Lap Band?

first of all you are still on the post op diet.. things will change once you go from liquids to solids you probaly won't lose and you might even gain. so, that is something that you need to keep in mind. also if you continue to decrease your calories you can make your body go into starvation mode and not lose anything you should try to keep your calories between 800-1200. i am 10 months post op and I am staying around 1200. i also don't increase my calories if i work out. i have had six fills. my band had fluid in it after surgery so i waited until about 8 weeks post op to have a fill. i think you should discuss this with your doctor. since you are still learning your body with the band.. once you get use to it things will change.

Stomach Pain - Call My Lap Band Surgeon Or Not ?

it can take up to two weeks for the gain pain to go away. also, pain in some areas is normal because you are in the healing process. however if you are ever in doubt you should call your doctor.. i had to go every two weeks the first 8 weeks of surgery..

    Breath-tex postive

i don't even know what this is??
  21. First of all its normal to gain weight after surgery.. because you are on liquids which means probably high sodium content which leads to retain water. you are going to need to drink water (crystal light Fruit Punch is my best friend) because you are going to need to flush the salt out of your system. you will probably also stay the same when you transit to solid foods again..
  22. uploaded a new picture of me and Kaitlynn..

  23. I am going to get straight to the point.. I am not looking for a fling. or anything... so, if you are leave me alone.. and if you want to be preverted or whatever leave me alone.. its that simple..

  24. well, i am back to how i was prior to my little mishap. I did unforunately gain four pounds..I am a little aggervated about it all.. but i am going to get these 14 pounds off and hit onderland before christmas.. thats all that matters

  25. well, i had to have unfill yesterday because my stoma had become stuck with some type of food.. on liquids until wednesday then soups until monday.. i go back to dr. mora on next wednesday..
